Unfortunately, due to recent floods there was no wi-fi and the bar area was closed.

I would've taken with firelighters and more water. Things are a little more expensive, but understandably so, because they also have to get it to Kambati. But I love that they were stocked up with water.

The view over the mountains were fantastic and the glamping tents are well equipped. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable and larger than normal.
We had neighbours next to us and behind us that had no volume control and being in a tent there was no escape. We had to listen to them fighting and arguing from we arrived there, while the sun was setting, unto the night and again in the morning. This might be unfair to Africamps but it influenced our stay and therefor the rating I have given. I think families with kids will love the place.

Africamps is set in a truly beautiful location — lush, scenic, easy to find, and the communication leading up to our stay was excellent. One of the absolute highlights of our visit was the quad bike experience booked through the venue, which we thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend. I would also like to specifically mention that the maintenance gentleman who assisted us (whose name I unfortunately did not get) was exceptionally friendly, professional, and eager to help. His positive attitude and willingness to assist were truly appreciated and made a noticeable difference during our stay.
Unfortunately, several aspects of our experience were disappointing and significantly impacted our overall stay. Prior to arrival, I specifically booked and paid for two braai baskets for Monday and Wednesday evenings. The payment process through the website was frustrating and took hours, although payment was eventually confirmed. Despite this, upon arrival we were told we still needed to pay for the braai boxes, which made for a frustrating first impression as I then had to return to the unit to provide proof of payment. When the braai boxes finally arrived, all four were delivered at once instead of on the evenings I had requested. More disappointing was that nearly everything was frozen solid (except the salad), despite the website stating these need to be ordered 24 hours in advance. This felt misleading, especially considering the food clearly came straight from a freezer. For R275 per person, the quality and quantity were underwhelming — the steak was more of a minute steak, the boerewors was very thin, and the chicken sosaties were inconsistent in size. The contents looked nothing like the promotional photos online. There were also several maintenance and comfort issues that need attention. The hot tub water was dirty on arrival, and we had to request maintenance to clean it. A small pool net in each unit would be a practical addition. The braai grill was unstable and in poor condition, and there was no light near the braai area, leaving us to cook using cellphone flashlights. The tent itself also needs maintenance. In terms of comfort, the accommodation felt quite basic and not especially relaxing. The furniture (bench, chairs, sofa) was all very hard, as was the bed, and the blankets were thin. We also experienced a severe fly infestation in the tent, yet there was no fly swatter provided — a simple but necessary item in this kind of setting.
