Stones Throw From The Beach - Stunning Sea View

The location is excellent, right on the seafront. Just steps from the pier. Shop and restaurant nearby. Ali, the owner, gave us all the necessary information and helped us with very good suggestions. Easy parking. We had a very good time.

The dinner table is very small, not much space for everyone. But it wasn't a big problem.

A superb apartment. Exceptionally helpful owner who dealt with queries promptly. View is stunning and would highly recommend

Parking can be tricky

Amazing sea view , walking distance to eating places .

Had to have windows open because of hot weather , so it was a bit noisy with people and traffic , but it was ok, and didn’t stop us from sleeping .

The apartment is in a convenient Southsea location. The hosts provided visitor parking permits.

-Owing to construction works, the “Stunning Sea View” was substantially obscured by a huge crane and active work site. Obviously a host can’t control when public construction happens but they absolutely control how they market a property and communicate with prospective guests - the hosts told us nothing about it beforehand (we booked on short notice so this should have been known, disclaimed and priced in). It was so disappointing to pay for a sea view / easy beach access” based on the listing photos and other reviews and then arrive to this. -We asked the hosts to cancel the remaining 2 nights so we could find another place but they refused. They actually told us to look at their other reviews about how nice the view is (which is ironically why we had booked it…) and said the works “do not interfere with the view”, which it clearly did (as you can see in the photos). The building and apartment were musty so the sea view guests normally enjoy was pulling a lot of weight. -The noise of construction continued all day Friday and Saturday so there was nothing peaceful about being in this apartment. -After booking.com intervened, the host offered us a 15% discount. If they’d listed it that way, I’m sure someone would have thought it was a good deal. We’d have still booked elsewhere so wish we’d had accurate info upfront. -The area is a bit of a nightmare for parking. There were suspensions all around the building (for the construction) so we couldn’t park that close. -The kitchen was stocked with a few things but no dishwasher tablets or kitchen roll, always annoying to have to buy those for a couple of nights stay somewhere.
