Hiking Snowdonia

Great place to be if you like nature and want to explore hiking in the area. Close to a river and there is a Spar supermarket and some restos within walking distance. Warm welcome from David, he made the best breakfast.

Excellent setting and placed perfectly on the hill from the waterfalls. Very quick walk into Main Street for food and drink. Quick drive to have beautiful hikes. And lovely walks around the area too.

We had a delightful stay.

The inn is located in a quiet area of a lively town. Our room was very nice and clean, and good size as well. The bathroom is very nicely remodeled with modern fixtures and old world charm. The owner Dave is very friendly and provided us a wonderful breakfast. He also took time giving us hiking recommendations.

Ideal rest stop for motorcycle touring.

Dave was very welcoming and helpful. Easy to find and access with great parking for my motorbike(hidden out of the way down a cul-de-sac). Room 5 was ideal for one person including views from two aspects. Even in height of summer room was perfectly cool, even with windows closed. Comfy bed and peaceful nights sleep. Communal areas both in and outside are a lovely touch, especially for solo travellers. Breakfast was great. Loads of shops, pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Would absolutely recommend and return here if in the area again.

Great location only a 2 minute walk to the village, free parking at the property and lovely gardens with seating areas. The room with en suite bathroom was lovely and clean and Dave is a great host and very welcoming. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of options.

Relaxed, comfortable with delicious breakfast.

Lovely place, beautiful designed with lush, abundant garden. I loved the cute quirky lounge area and breakfast room. You can hear the waterfalls nearby and it’s just a stones throw from the path that takes you along the river. Dave is very friendly and makes a fabulous breakfast.

It felt like a real treat to stay at the Summerhill Guesthouse!

The room was beautiful and comfortable with a lovely view of the nearby river. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with a really good selection of great food. Dave, the owner, was so friendly and made me feel very welcome. It is such a charming guesthouse, I absolutely would stay there again!

Definitely worth every penny!

The Summer Hill felt like home away from home. It is very cozy, clean (especially the bathroom) and the amenities are beyond my expectations, and the breakfast! I felt like I was eating at a coffee shop - always hot and scrumptious. Not what I always have whenever I travel, buffet style and cold cuts. I'm glad Dave invited me to come the next morning because I missed one. I love having conversations with him and his suggestions were great on where to explore next. Thanks to him, I now have an itinerary for the next summer. 🤣😂 Definitely worth coming back!

We really enjoyed the room, the building, the amount little bits and bobs, all we couldn’t even think about - not just coffee and tea, but hot chocolate and fresh milk. Towels - shower, hands, and plus for the face, and cotton wool too. Magazines, maps. Massive amount of leisure space outside with outstanding view and nature sound. I can’t even tell what could possibly be more. Separate appreciation to mattress and bedding quality, my husband was sleeping so peaceful, without single snoring episode.

I believe it was mentioned dressing gown and slippers, but we didn’t need it anyway, so just as note, not dislike.

I like a lot about this property, they have really thought of everything, very easy to gain access to your room with the instructions provided, room was comfortable, clean, and had everything you need! The property had lots of areas that are for guests to use, including areas in the garden! Breakfast in the morning was loverly, met by Dave who was very welcoming loverly choice of breakfast! Really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning! Thank you

The breakfast was excellent and very comprehensive. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for what we were doing and the property felt very homely.

For the number of rooms in the property the car park was a little small although there is also parking available opposite the road so it wasn't really an issue. Probably not ideal for wheelchair access.

In the area for a training course, great hotel and excellent location

Hotel was great, Location was perfect with Chip shop, pub, eating places within 5 mins walk. Hotel has secluded parking with extra on the road. Use of garden and outside seating area's to watch the sun go down.

Just wanted firmer bigger pillows, and ideally long like milk cartons in the room.

Little gem in Betws y coed

We loved our stay at Summerhill Guest House. One of the best B&B places we ever stayed at. Place was very clean. Dave was there to help us with anything we needed. Good options for breakfast. Location is perfect, its not in centre of town and still not far. Its very close to Pont-y-Pair Bridge. Perfect starting place for walks around Betws y Coed and further. It has beautiful outdoor space with decking, chairs and umbrellas to enjoy later afternoon sun and relax. We were here for a short trip of just 2 nights. We are already looking forward to coming back sometime in future.
