Perfect stay close to Yr Wyddfa

Warm welcome on arrival, and we were given a free room upgrade. Fantastic lounge and bar area with exceptional food. Spa access was included with our room rate and the facilites there are great with steam room & sauna, hot tub and a decent size pool as well as a gym. The room we had was large & well lit with patio doors onto decking and a garden, well worth the money. We chose this hotel due close proximity to the paths up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and the car park is only 20 minutes drive away.

Brilliant we will stay there again.

We had breakfast with our dog and they had a bed ready for him by our table and was given sausage for breakfast. Our breakfast was excellent really hot and the eggs are superb. Good selection in help yourself continental section.

Lovely hotel with great facilities

The lodge was much bigger than I expected. Very comfortable beds, spacious living room, plenty of tea/coffee and the added bonus of a fridge and a second bathroom. There was a good choice of breakfasts and we also had pizzas in the bar which were lovely. Friendly, helpful staff and we were able to store our luggage on checkout which was a great help as we had used public transport.

Liked the lodges with their own car parking space. Loved the staff. Very friendly and helpful.

Cooked breakfast was a bit small. The poached egg was hard and the bacon could have done with a bit longer in the pan. Plenty of cereal and toast available. The coffee with breakfast was weak and tasteless. I should have ordered a cappuccino rather than the standard coffee.

Short stroll into village. Ample parking.

No complimentary water in room. Shower in bath. Did not see the notice that bathroom fan could be switched off which was our fault. Fan ran for ages and light came on each time bathroom used. Hotel room was very clean. Room could do with a bit of a modern update.

Lovely peaceful stay.

This hotel is lovely and has gorgeous lodges which we stayed in at the back. We were upgraded to a room with a tub in our room. The staff were amazing, the facilities were great. We have visited before and will definitely visit again!!

Lovely room but perhaps the wrong one for me.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean.

I wasn't informed that the lodge I was allocated was right at the top of what was for me a rather long and steep slope. A flight of steps would have provided a shortcut but too steep for me to manage. The doorstep into the lodge was rather high and there was nothing to hold on to. I should probably asked for more information when I booked.

Great location, friendly staff, free parking. Lovely bar and restaurant downstairs Big seating areas in bar, restaurant, and outside. Biscuits and tea and coffee in the room.

Rooms get quite warm and stuffy. Not much air was able to come through the windows. We were there on a very warm day, though.

Amazing lodges with views and a lovely leisure center.

Got upgraded from the Standard Lodge to the Superior Lodge and man was it amazing. Having coffee on the little veranda seating for 2 in the morning with the view was 👌🏼 Very spacious and clean room. Loved all the mirrors, conveniently placed power sockets, iron & stand already in the room, coffee & tea selection to the very large and comfortable bed. I definitely recommend visiting the leisure center. Great pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. The gym has nice views of the pool area from above. Both Bridge Restaurant and Bar 1815 had great menus and the food tasted amazing 😋 Every staff member from the reception to the servers in both restaurants were friendly, courteous and just very lovely overall!

Nothing wrong with them but the bathroom aesthetic could be updated/modernized a little.

Highly recommended Hotel and great village

We had an excellent stay at the Waterloo Hotel, the staff, food and facilities were really enjoyable. The village, Betws-y-coed is absolutely beautiful. Great walks and even some shopping.

Promised a lot but failed to deliver the main requirement of any hotel - a comfortable nights sleep

Good location, good sized room, lovely staff.

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable giving three nights of broken sleep and sore backs in the mornings. The hotel staff did provide an extra duvet to try to use as a mattress topper but it didn’t do much to take the edge off. Always annoying to pay a load of money for bad sleep - the bare minimum requirement for any hotel is a comfortable mattress. Also the extractor fan in the bathroom sounded like a plane taking off and the bathroom tap was very temperamental when it came to cold water - whether it would give you anything other than hot water even after running on cold for 5 mins was anyone’s guess.
