Qeparo Pano Rooms

The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the family who run Qeparo Pano Rooms. Everyone I met on site was genuinely warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble and they really do make you feel at home. They are by far the property’s greatest asset. The views are absolutely spectacular. Looking out across the sea from the apartment is breathtaking, particularly at. sunset. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate for a beach holiday.

While the views are fantastic, the location wasn’t quite as peaceful as I’d expected. The neighbouring dogs barked continuously from around 5am every morning, making it difficult to sleep. The property also sits directly on the main coastal road, with a steady stream of traffic throughout the day, including heavy construction vehicles that regularly thunder past. Although the listing states that the beach is only a few hundred metres away, it doesn’t explain that reaching it involves a very steep path and a large number of steps. This wasn’t an issue for me, but it’s important information that anyone with mobility issues, young children or simply limited fitness should know before booking. One of my biggest frustrations was that the Deluxe Apartment advertises a washing machine, but there isn’t one available for guests to use. Instead, you have to ask the owners to do your laundry. As someone who travels with hand luggage and likes to wash swimwear, beach towels and a few clothes every couple of days, this was extremely inconvenient. More importantly, it simply doesn’t match the facilities advertised in the listing. The payment process was also disappointing. The property requires payment in cash, but this wasn’t made clear before I booked. It only became apparent in the booking confirmation, by which point cancelling would have incurred a cancellation charge. Overall, the wonderful family and incredible sea views made for an enjoyable stay, but the inaccurate listing information and lack of transparency around payment left me feeling disappointed. With a few improvements to the property’s description, future guests would be able to make a much more informed decision before booking.

Lots of space, large balcony, two decent sized bathrooms. Private packing space meant no issue with our hire car. Only a walk from the beach but the stairs are steep. Very nice host who gave us fruit and home cooked pastries. Comfy beds.

Beautiful view. Absolutely stunning! We had a warm welcome with a glass of fruit type sugar drink which was kind, also offered an Albanian breakfast food on 2 of the days. We could not park in car port and had to move the car on the busy road so be careful with a big car. We had emailed in advance but that's where they put us. The room was perfect size for two. Bed is superking size and overlooks the veiw. Very comfortable too. Bathroom was a sizable ensuite with good water pressure but shower head needed wedging in to stop it swivelling. Nice size balcony with airer and seating. Only issue is there's a bit where you are open to the neighbours, ours were lovely and we were both respectful of each other so not a problem. Clean and very serviceable room over all.

190 steps to the sea, some are uneven so not for the feint hearted. We're reasonably fit but it was a killer in the heat. It comes with the views of course but other reviews say 5/10 mins to the beach, they're right! But up very steep steps. Our main problem and why we would not recommend the accomodation. Is Staff (the owners) entering the room without knocking, we had to have the key in the lock to stop it. Staff also going into room to inspect it when we went out. We know theyd been in but bins or bedding had not been changed etc so no reason to do so. Staff also Turning fridge to warmest setting so the produce was only just off room temp, turning off ac and changing settings. We emailed them to ask them no to but they said no. We felt we lacked privacy and made the stay awkward.
