Villa Olive Old Qeparo

We loved the authenticity of the property, village and the people there. Glorious views and private spaces. We will be back to Albania and will make this part of our trip again. The passion needed to renovate the property with the attention to detail is very apparent.

Ein wunderbar saniertes Haus, gelegen in einem malerischen Dorf, abseits des Massentourismus. Ruhig, entspannend….was man sich für den Urlaub wünscht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Amazing small authentic town. Beautifully restored house - made with love and care.

The absolute highlight was staying in the old crumbling hilltop village of Old Qeparo. There are amazing walks on your doorstep, some excellent restaurants and a small shop that just about meets all your needs. The hosts Akil and Alisa were brilliant and very helpful. The accommodation has some beautiful outdoor areas and is decorated and tended to a really high standard.

We stayed in the small apartment downstairs and we felt that it was quite expensive for what it was, and isn't really suitable for self caterers / people staying more than a couple of days. There was just one hob for cooking and very limited surface space, so it was quite difficult to make dinner. There is only one door and one small window, so it was impossible to get the room cool at night time even though it was lovely and cool outside even in the summer (there is no air con but one fan which circulated warm air). The apartment is underneath a family apartment, and if someone upstairs runs or knocks something, you hear it really loudly. Unfortunately for us the family above had young kids who seemed to like to crash and bang a lot! We were on a "romantic get away" and it was difficult to relax with a family around who had very different needs to us.
