The hotel is nicely located on the hill with a beautiful panorama of the sea and the city. The staff is very welcoming and easy going. Plenty of parking. Great breakfast. Better to have a car. Happy to have stayed there.

Unfortunately, the shower is like in many places in Albania - just right over the toilet without any separation. After taking the shower, the toilet becomes not usable for some time due to flooding. Hence one point less from otherwise the top rating. I hope at some point the hotel is renovated to have Western-style bathrooms. But if you are not bothered by the shower situation, there is no reason not to stay at this hotel!

Belvedere Hotel & Suites completely stole our hearts and honestly there is nowhere else I would stay in Himara now. The setting alone is breathtaking. Perched overlooking Himara and the beautiful open bay, the views are incredible. The sea below is that unreal turquoise colour you think only exists in edited photos, but somehow it really looks like that in real life. Sitting on the balcony in the morning or evening and looking out over the water felt so peaceful. What made this place feel extra special was the hotel grounds. There are beautiful apricot trees, fig trees, grapevines, lettuces growing and little chickens clucking away in the background. Ripe apricots literally fall onto the ground and you can pick them up as you wander around. It felt authentic, peaceful and full of life - pictures honestly don’t do the place justice. Breakfast was exceptional value and one of our favourite parts of staying here. So much of the food is homegrown or locally sourced and you can really taste the difference. For just €9 you get an amazing spread with fresh bread, cereals, eggs, sausage, yoghurt, juice, coffee, tea and homemade jams. It felt incredibly generous. The rooms were spotless, bright and spacious, with comfortable beds and lovely balconies overlooking either the gardens or the sea. Everything was thoughtfully provided, including shampoo and body wash, and the whole place felt really clean and cared for. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Thanos. He is one of those rare people who genuinely changes your experience of a place. Warm, kind, generous and full of light, nothing was ever too much trouble. He shared fantastic local knowledge, gave us brilliant restaurant recommendations and even lent us his umbrella for a beach trip. Small acts like that say everything about the kind of person he is. The location is also great whether you have a car or not.

Belvedere Hotel & Suites was one of our favorite stays in Himare. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the facilities were excellent. Everything was spotless, and the view of Himare Bay from the property was simply immaculate. We got kettle in our room as well. It’s only about a 5-minute drive from the port and the town center, making it both peaceful and convenient. Breakfast was delicious, featuring homemade items and fresh ingredients from the family’s own farm. The filtered coffee with fig jam was a standout! Another big plus: this was one of the few places in the area that accepted credit cards. Overall, a wonderful stay with genuine hospitality and an unbeatable view.
