Palermiti Luxury Rooms

I had a lovely stay at Palermiti. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the bed was excellent. The staff made a huge difference to my experience – they were friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful and well maintained.

There are a few things future guests should be aware of. The location is quite isolated and is best suited to guests with a car. While the hotel is close to the coast on the map, there is no convenient or safe walking route to a good beach. The main road nearby is not pedestrian-friendly, so walking is not really a practical option. Transport was the biggest challenge for us. Taxis were the only realistic way to get around and cost around €15–20 each way, which adds up quickly. Public transport in the area is limited and not easy to navigate, especially for visitors who do not speak Albanian.

The staff was amazing! It was super clean. Breakfast was wow. You feel comfortable every moment from checkin to checkout. It’s quiet, rooms are large enough. The owner and her daughter were lovely, they help you with anything that you might need in Himare. All I can say is a huge thanks! If I ever visit Himare again, Palermiti Luxury Rooms is the place I’ll stay.

The only thing is the location maybe. You need a car to go anywhere from the hotel. However, the sunset view from the hotel compansate that fully.

Our stay here was simply amazing. Everything about the room was lovely: the bed was comfy; the shower pressure was amazing and the room itself was very spacious. The pool area is lovely too, and is next to a restaurant-bar area. Breakfast was very tasty every morning, and you are also able to order lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The family that run the rooms clearly work very hard to cater to their guests. The drinks selection is small, but you really don't need much more than what they already offer. I read in some other reviews that people were unhappy with the location on a main road but this really wasn't an issue for us, you can hardly hear the cars from the rooms and the view from the pool area more than makes up for this. The property is ideally located, a 15 minute drive from Himare centre and not far at all from many beautiful beaches.

There were a number of small issues that, although didn't ruin our stay, did make us slightly uneasy. We ate dinner at the restaurant on our first night and the food was definitely of mixed quality. The cod was alright, however the chicken was far too dry. We had delicious goat's cheese several times, but the olives in the salad we ordered for lunch one day simply tasted rotten and we had to leave them. I was also served curdled milk with my coffee one morning, however this was quickly remedied. The rooms also lack a little privacy; the main path through the property goes in front of the main window of each room, leading us and most guests to keep the curtains closed all day, which is a shame. We also noticed that one member of staff, clearly employed and not a member of the family, was made to do far much more work than the others. On our first evening when we ordered cocktails after this particular staff member had gone to bed, the family disturbed him in order for him to make our drinks, which made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. We would much rather have ordered something else if it meant he would be allowed to rest. Another instance of this, while this staff member was sorting out deliveries, we approached somebody else who was clearly unoccupied to pay for various drinks and snacks we'd had by the pool. Rather than handling this herself, she instructed the staff member in question to take our payment. I'm sure everybody here works very hard to look after guests and ensure a lovely stay, but the way this employee is treated made us feel rather uncomfortable and burdensome even.

The tools are really nice and comfy. Swimming pool are a is cool. I recommend to take the breakfast option. Also the sunrise and sunset views are awesome. Really close to Himare.

Nothing maybe the parking spots are kinda tricky but that’s not a huge problem.
