Not worth it based on the price
Location on the island was amazing. Private beach was lovely.
Overall a poor experience based on what we paid. At about $350USD a night, we did expect a pretty spectacular stay. Firstly, no one spoke English, which was very frustrating. The pool was very cold and never heated to a comfortable temperature, one of the main selling features for us. Service was very slow, even though there were only 4 rooms. Internet was very unreliable. On our last day, we were without power - would expect them to have a backup generator to at least have some facilities running. Room was always sandy and never properly clean. Shower temperature never got hot enough, shower facet broken. Had to take cold showers on the last day due to no power. Multiple light fixtures not working.

We stayed 4 nights at Casa da Ilha, the beach and surrounding nature is beautiful ! All in all, the rest of the staff is very nice but the experience is not what you would expect if you look at the pics and were hoping to have a hassle free, value for money vacation, I would recommend to go to a cheaper Pousada on the island.
Unfortunately the rooms, facilities ,and service are not at the quality level you would expect for this price range. Each room has a small (dirty) jacuzzi which will serve the purpose of an Instagram post but no more. The manager Fernando doesn’t make an effort and is not very friendly, a bit hard to communicate with him. He only wants to sell you a private boat tour (1500 réais for one day). The hotel has 4 rooms, we were told there was no key to our suite and theres hardly any housekeeping. As the hotel is on a remote beach you can only eat at the hotel’s restaurant unless you do a 30min walk (not possible at night). Food is all frozen and fried, again not what you would expect for the price you are paying. In the evening service and staff ends at 8pm.

Exceptional
Our stay at Casa Da Ilha surpassed expectations. They staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. And the views were even better than the pictures. They were able to help assist us with all of our questions and even guided us in finding transportation to and from Rio. It was truly the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

Eloisa and her mom were the best staff members there! It felt like we were all one big family, they made sure all our needs were taken care of without any issues. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful.
The sheets etc were not as clean as they should have been.
