I thank God that we were able to stay in Le Relais du Chateau. Our hostess was incredibly helpful and warm. Our window looked out on a close-up view of her grape vines loaded with white grapes, some of which were made into house-made jelly for breakfast. Beautiful breakfast, which she encouraged us afterwards to make for our picnic lunch on the Via Francigena. On the trail later in the day my cheese sandwich (including grape jelly) got me replenished for hiking the rest of the afternoon. The location was so close to the castle we visited it, both in the afternoon and the next morning.

Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

It took me an hour to find the place, even with Google maps. There is no name or number on the building and nothing to indicate it is a guest house. Some people I asked didn't know, others sent me the wrong way. I walked past it more than once.
