Shima Stay holoholo

Our room in Shima Stay holoholo was exactly as pictured in the online photos. We stayed in a triple room, which had three comfortable beds, and our own toilet and bathroom. The shower was great, and felt wonderful after a day of snorkelling. Wifi was reliable. The air conditioning worked well, so although the room was not large it never felt stuffy. We really appreciated the coin laundry in the building. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location in the pretty port village was perfect. It is only a 5-minute walk to the ferry dock, and less than a 5-minute walk to two small grocery stores and many great restaurants. Shima Stay holoholo provided a helpful book in our room with restaurant recommendations, which we really appreciated. We ate at nearby Little Kitchen, Nanamaru (make reservations the day before), and Marumiya, and all were delicious dinners! Zamami Island is gorgeous and well worth a visit. We had rain for about half of our stay, and we still loved it. Snorkelling at Furuzamami Beach was so fun!

The common areas were only available until 5:30pm, so when we wanted to stay in for a relaxing evening, our only option with our triple room was to hang out in our room and sit on our beds. That was fine since we only stayed three nights, so it felt cozy and fun, but had we been there for a longer stay I could imagine it might start to feel a bit cramped, so in that case I would recommend booking a larger room.

The hotel is very centrally located, easy to find and very clean. For such a small island, the accommodation was perfect it had everything we needed and felt very cozy. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, responded quickly to all messages and was always ready to assist.

Great location, few minutes from the port and with easy access to the most important facilities of the island. In the middle of the two main beaches. Simple but everything you need. The room has a good space.

There is no staff always there but if you need them they are super helpful and nice. We had to leave before due to bad weather and they were super supportive. It would be a plus if they would support more guest with organisation of activities like the diving, ecc.

This was not as expected, and for what you god - I don’t think it’s worth the money! The location is great, ATM, bikerent and a grocery store - all just within a few minutes walk. The Island has the most beautiful beaches 20 min walk away.
