Vacation in paradise !!

The home location was excellent and the back pool area and Canal area were just what we were hoping for.

A very beautiful, large, and lovingly furnished house, which unfortunately was a bit dated and in need of renovation in a few places. The seating area by the canal was rusted and broken. That was a real shame, because it's actually a very pleasant place to sit. The location was fantastic and super central. All in all, I'd happily stay again.

Everything was wonderful! Was the perfect place to stay - quiet neighborhood and a clean, spacious house. The sunsets were amazing! The pool/hot tub was our favorite place of the whole house. This is definitely a place we would consider staying again if we make it back to the area. This house had everything we needed for our stay. The best find was that Rib City (my families favorite restaurant in Florida) was literally a 3 minute drive away!

Host was very friendly & responded quickly to any questions we had. House was spacious, plenty of room for two families & kids of various ages. Property was convenient to local stores & short drive to various beach locations. Patio area was great for cooking out & grills were provided. Pool/beach amenities were a added benefit as well. Lounge chairs were comfortable and in good condition. The dock was convenient fir fishing & some equipment was included which was a nice perk. Overall we had 2 main concerns. The cleanliness of the house was fair, but it was obvious that the cleaning crew does not do deep cleaning in between guest. We had to re-clean the kitchen counters to get rid of a sticky residue, we had to wash rugs in one of the bathrooms to get rid of a urine odor. The master suite bathroom cabinets were dirty and had not been cleaned between guest, there was even hair left in the drawers. When sliding a small night stand over to access an outlet there was a ton of dust, debri & cobb Webb’s where the cleaning crew had not properly cleaned. Also several dishes were put away dirty & had to be washed again. The towels, wash clothes & bedding had definitely seen better days, and in some rooms additional blankets were stored on the floor in the bottom of a closet. We ended up buying our own towels & wash clothes to use for the week. New mattress are definitely needed in all rooms but the master as they are worn out and very uncomfortable or sink in in the middle from not being rotated often enough. 2nd concern was the original listing didn’t include any charges for electric use. This was one of the reason we originally chose the house because we didn’t want to have to deal with any “unknown” charges. When the owner stopped by at random the day before we were set to leave she let us know we had used an additional amount of electric and that she would just take it out of our deposit. We packed up this same day and left a day early so no other electric was used during our stay but then I received a note saying we were being charged another additional amt for electric. Additional electric charges on a day that we weren’t even staying at the home?. Definitely confusing & the listing for the property needs to be updated so that potential renters are aware.
