Le Mouton Gras

Family-owned, historic accommodation with a quirky edge (rooms are themed - Dreams, Marine etc). The owners are delightful and really friendly. We arrived on bikes, having cycled 90km in rain, and they brought us drinks to have in the garden of our accommodation. We were able to store our bikes overnight in a locked garage. Breakfast was self-service and very generous and varied, including a selection of local Normandy cheeses. Excellent value for money.

Just 2hrs from Calais you will find the most French Oasis of peace and calm and tranquility. Just everything about Le Mouton Gras is absolutely perfect. Gorgeous room, perfectly clean. The bed was super comfy.... Breakfast was exceptional and the hosts were only too pleased to offer a most typical French stay in the amazing quintessentially French accommodation...

Well located, easy to find. Very quirky, adapted from an old coaching Inn, originally from 1680. 2 parts of the buildings were from that period. Lots of timber framing . Great atmosphere, terrace(Dreams) was lovely to sit out as the sun went down. The breakfast was magnificent. All you could eat...... Inexpensive compared with other stays on this trip(5). Would definitely stay again if travelling through this area.

The room (Dreams) was alongside a roadway and could be noisy with traffic(very light). There did not appear to be an opening window, but did have a large fan, presumably the room does get hot at times, it was in the heatwave!

The property was beautiful and well kept.

Placed in a room that wasn't suitable for me and my son. I booked 2 beds, and the room allocated had a super small double only(not what you need after 13 hours on the road. I was unable to sort it out with my pigeon french, so I had to get on with it.
