Everything was absolutely perfect! The place felt very homely (clean, warm & comfortable)!! The bed was very comfortable, the shower pressure and temperature were great. The views were beautiful and we loved the piece surrounding the place. Even enjoyed the company of a lovely black bull with a nose ring ❤️what a character!! Hopefully we will manage to come back.
Not a complaint but some outside light would be really great out of the season.

The location is beautiful and the property is steeped in history.
We had dinner the first night , a 3 course meal that was expensive for us but given the remoteness and quality of food we thought was worth it.
The facilities were very good with a fully functional unit allowing us to cook and washing facilities were very welcome.
I love the drive and views into town but the Scottish roads are a challenge initially.
The remoteness is both an advantage and disadvantage.
We had some anxiety when arriving in Portree and could not locate the site on maps until we realised it was a part of the restaurant. It would have been useful to have some directions and a contact number when the booking was confirmed

Extremely beautiful venue close by to the best hiking routes - the room was spacious, clean and well-equipped. The restaurant was really nice and we truly enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend and happily return here!

Loved the quiet location although the sat nav took us in another direction. Did eventually find the property
No milk in the fridge. No shops nearby.

Great location with a view of the sea. Large apartment with nice kitchen.
The couches were very uncomfortable.

Beautiful location.
Property very comfy, cosy and clean. Well fitted out with everything we needed for our stay.
Helpful maps and tourist information in property. History of that area very interesting and provided in property.
Dog friendly.
Car parking
Road up to property a bit rough but not unusual in Skye. Only the last 3 miles out of around 15 miles from Portree.
Impression on booking site was that it was close to Portree but was in fact 1/2 an hour away, something we didn't realise until reading some reviews the night before going.
Neither of the above spoilt our stay.

Luxurious property, well kept and clean. Bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever experienced. Complimentary tea and coffee left in property which was a nice touch. Enjoyed our stay.
Host didn’t know we had booked the property, we turned up to the main hotel to get the pin for the lockbox to our cottage and the hosts looked at us if we were lost travellers. When I advised we had booked the property they replied “have you? Well it must have been just in the last 5 minutes”, no not really it was booked in the morning and we arrived late in the evening.
I’m assuming it’s because we booked during January which is their quiet season but the hotel wasn’t open, neither was the kitchen for dinner or breakfast. Since the property is located in the most remote part of the island we felt somewhat stranded without a proper meal, it is a good 45 minute drive into any major location to get a takeaway or eat in.
Road leading to the property isn’t ideal due to its remote location, lots of bendy roads and very narrow without streetlights, once you get close to the property it becomes narrow gravel path.

A beautiful quiet place to stay. Beautiful views from the windows. Very clean and comfortable

What a lovely stay - definitely the highlight of our Scotland trip.
Accommodation was cosy and quiet. The views were just beautiful.
Great space for a family.
Nice and clean.
Located in the north part of the island so close enough access to the sights. Furthest area of interest was the fairy pools which was about 50 mins away.
They have a laundry room that guests can use which was such a great help.
Although the area is quiet - there is a room above with thin wooden floors and you can hear the guests walking around if they are heavy footed.
Such beautiful views - yet hardly any windows to enjoy the view from inside.

Beautiful place in a remote part of the Isle of Skye - which was perfect! Our room was outfitted with just about everything we could need, and we appreciated the use of the laundry facilities.

Upmarket and comfortable self contained compartment, with all the required facilities. This is a remote location, which is a strong attraction, but it's important to ensure you do a thorough shop before you arrive! Excellent location to explore north Skye and convenient to the Uig to Tarbert ferry port. Would stay here again

Lovely clean, comfortable, modern attention to detail. In a beautiful location, if remote, Dog friendly.
Owners obliging when we needed to rearrange dates due to ferry problems.
Distance to pub / restaurant and difficulty in booking a table

The peaceful setting, the crisp comfort of the space, so thoughtfully constructed, the hospitality, the views from the outside space. We visited Portree and after 20 minutes fled back to the peace of Monkstadt.
The windows are small, due to the constraints of the original historic structure. But the inside lighting makes it cheerful and functional. We had meals at the table outside overlooking the spectacular view.

The accommodation was great, spotlessly clean. Lovely and warm with constant hot water. Shower very powerful. Kitchen well equipped. Bed extremely comfortable. You can walk to a nearby restaurant, it was closed when we were there so cant comment on it. It was very quiet and felt safe.

The stay was great, the Hideout cottage we stayed in was excellently laid out and a very cosy place to relax after hiking in the hills all day. The little touches such as a bottle of wine and cookies on arrival and having cleaning products to clear away any mess after cooking were excellent
nothing to add here

No words can explain how fantastic the place was. It was exceptional and by far the best place we stayed at on our holiday. Going to the restaurant down the road was an absolute treat and I am thankful that I booked as I would have missed out.

Luxurious, comfortable and clean cottage. Fantastic location.
We weren’t able to get evening meals or breakfast on the first morning.

the Property was a Dream, outstandingly presented, with everything top quality!
only very minor gripe, there was another property ‘upstairs’ from which TV sounds and people talking could be heard. maybe some improvement in Sound-proofing.
but as I say, only a minor thing.

The views where spectacular, The Room was cleaner than you'd ever even think of. Loads of parking and space for everyone around to enjoy the scenic views. We had fantastic weather and felt like it was so magical. 10/10
The road to the cottage was abit long and bumpy and there is a small gate into the propertys which if you had a bigger car could be a slight issue.

Quite, remote, and relaxing stay. Beautiful view of the fields and the ocean. The restaurant on the property was small and unique place. The food was delicious too! Overall, our expectations were well exceeded!
Bit of a drive to some tourist destinations. But it was worth if you have a car and you don’t mind a drive. There are plenty of popular hikes and waterfalls within 30 minutes.

It was comfortable, stylish and very complete self catering accommodations.
It was not clean. crumbs and stains in the fridge, dog hair everywhere on the floor. Dirty ventilation.
Noise from upstairs’ neighbours (normal conversations).
And because of the location we hade hoped for a window with a view.

the property is amazing. location and inside is top standard. super comfortable and incredible value. well worth a stay.
the views were mind-blowing
we also ate in the monkstadt restaurant which has some of the best food on the island in my view.

We stayed at No 8 - McEachanns Hideout which is a spacious apartment for two people, modern finishes. The property is beautifully located and the kitchen is well equipped.
We had guests staying in the unit above us and you could hear everything.. footsteps, conversations, television.

The accommodation was perfect. Everywhere was immaculate and the facilities were very modern. There is lots of guest information and guidance on the local area. The hosts had left tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the fridge. Cleaning materials and starter toiletries provided too. We honestly couldn't fault our stay and we had a perfect time. I would highly recommend a stay here. The apartment is also pet friendly and we felt very welcome with our dog. The location is perfect and so peaceful.
