Monkstadt No 10 The Horse Walk

This was our luxury stay in the steadings. It was beautifully designed and well-appointed (we had everything we needed, and more). It does take a bit to get there so we purchased groceries at the Co-op in Portree and had everything we needed to make meals (we didn't get a chance to try the onsite restaurant, but I'm sure it is delicious). Beds were comfortable. It said 2 bed/2 bath when we booked - but there was an extra washroom tucked under the stairs. Loved watching the sheep and the water and the weather change). I would stay here again!

Location was stunning - not much that we didn't like. The roads are to be expected on Skye - combination of 2 lane and 1 track.

Friendly staff and quality dining.

Slightly pricey for dinner.

We stayed in a unit called The Horsewalk, which in addition to being spacious, clean, well-decorated and having an ocean view, was also interesting in having original structures of the farm incorporated into the design. Although we didn’t make use of it, there was a wood stove which would be a welcome comfort after a day in the rain. We appreciated the Nespresso coffee. And perhaps most importantly, the property owners went beyond the call of duty to return a forgotten item to us.

There is nothing to improve on. The driveway is very narrow, but if you have made it this far in Scotland that will be a familiar thing…:)
