Not a Winter property.

Lovely property and location but wouldn’t recommend in winter as property is cold.

The property was cold and when we made Jade aware that the property was cold she blamed it on the cold weather. Jade wasn’t helpful and told us to use the fire which would be more costly to us. It wasn’t until I told her that I was disappointed that the radiators weren’t working that she offered to get an electrician and an extra heater. However after this communication we got no other response about either a second heater or an electrician. Very disappointing.

Lovely property ideally situated for exploring the area.

Location was perfect. Easy access to shops, pubs and walks. Accommodation was spacious, clean and welcoming. Well equipped kitchen.

It was a bit chilly in the house but it was ok because we used the log burner which was efficient and made it lovely and homely. An outdoor tap or sink would be useful for muddy boots.

Enjoyed Leyburn but didn’t enjoy the cottage too many negatives for us & not luxury.

Had to buy logs for the log burner as it didn’t mention (only starter pack) Only 1 toilet roll for 4 night stay. A few bulbs out oven, cooker hood & outside light. Mould round shower door, bath side. Radiators not working to capacity. Quilt stained when we stripped the beds (as asked to) ETC

Stylish property in the heart of the dales

Quiet locationjust offthe market place with shops restaurants and pubs 2 minutes away. Thoughtful touches of milk,tea coffee biscuits on arrival. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom had bath and shower . The property was spotlessly clean and felt very comfortable and stylish. We liked the yorkshire posters throughout and felt the old chapel had been thoughfully done. A lovely holiday retreat to explore the dales from.

Good amount of space. Well equipped.

The house needs a little more cleaning and decorating. Shower has mould around the seals. The cooker needs cleaning. Some of the walls are stained. There is a leak under the sink which is leaving a damp musty smell. Water is being caught in a tub which was overflowing.

Leyburn Old Chapel Stay

Great location and a lovely building set back from the high street so nice and quiet. Well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Some lovely bars and restaurants a stones throw away. Plenty to do out and about within a short distance of Leyburn itself.

I didn't like being asked to strip the beds before leaving. That was something that came in because of Covid, and should have ended with it also.

Property exceeded our expectations it was beautiful throughout. The fire was a lovely cosy touch and the location was perfect for walks. Very dog friendly area. We had a lovely stay and the hosts were brilliant with communication.

Lovely property, probably more suited to a couple than a family with young children though.

Really beautiful property, finished to a high standard, great location for the activities we wanted to do. People in the village were really friendly. No parking but was no hassle at all to park on the main car park for the village. Coop within walking distance was well stocked. Great communication from owners.

Master bed was very soft, would recommend sleeping in the smaller bedroom. Water supply was so noisy!! We couldn’t run the taps when the children were asleep as it woke them up.

A perfect country getaway in the picturesque Yorkshire countryside.

The Old Chapel is postcard pretty, and seeing it in real life for the first time, walking down the narrow lane off Railway Street was just magic. Perfectly situated in the centre of Leyburn, it is walking distance to everything you need or could want in town, as well as the beautiful walk The Shawl (a must-do). It had the most thoughtfully and thoroughly stocked kitchen I have ever had in a rental, with every utensil we could want or need to cook (or bake!) at home. The decor was tasteful and elegant. It had all the convenience of being in town, and all the charm of a country cottage. Jade was so lovely to deal with too. We highly recommend The Old Chapel, and would love to return.

Perfect location .house was very nice had everything you needed (cut myself couldn't find first-aid box?) Rooms a lovely size .Lovely pubs & shops a stones throw away. Definitely a return visit maybe with the grandkids as there are loads of places near by for to take the kids to .

Enjoyable stay in the Yorkshire Dales

The location is very convenient for the town centre. Plenty of space in the open plan lounge/kitchen-diner. Comfortable beds.

There is very limited space for storage of food (no storage cupboards, very small fridge/freezer) meaning we had to shop each day. On arrival the wifi router did not work, though the owner did source a mobile wifi device which we received on the second day and largely sufficed. The hot water system is very loud. Not much clothes hanging space in the bedrooms.
