BEWARE Nice hotel, but there are additional extras to pay

The room, and facilities were absolutely fine, however being on the ground flour our 'city view' room was actually a view of a fence and a service road at the back of the hotel with the station behind the fence. (occasionally noisy as trains would spend long periods idling in the station) so the terrace wasn't really useable.

On arrival we learnt that the use of the pool etc. was not included in the price - it was 10 euros per person extra, and the use of all the kitchen facilities that had been described in the room spec on Booking.com was also not included - that was another 10 euros! Whilst we later found they had sent a message to this effect in booking.com sometime after we'd made our last minute booking and were travelling, that's not an acceptable to do business. In my view their listing on Booking.com is at best misleading and at worst deliberate deception. If you lead your listing with a picture of the pool, guests will expect access to it in the advertised rate. If the room listing says it included a stovetop, kitchenware etc. they won't expect to pay extra for that either. This unwelcome news and hassle at check in, marred what would have otherwise been a pleasant stay. It's also worth mentioning that our room was not cleaned during our 3 night stay and we had to ask reception for addition toilet rolls and 2 extra coffee capsules for the machine (which was initially refused) since my complaint I think they have made things a bit clearer in their listing. - Just be honest and upfront with people.

Nice „passing through“ location. With a spa and happy food for the breakfast. Really, the froyo at breakfast made it for the kids.

Well, the spa gets crowded in the afternoon, if many people are in. Then it is rather small for the size of the hotel. But one can wait that out and it gets more relaxing around 19 hours, closer to closing hours, when the kids are already gone to dinner…

Staff courteous and very helpful, and supplied Gluten bread as requested.

Room was spacious , well equipped and clean.

Room not cleaned and re stocked in between the two day stay. Asked for a twin room, but the beds were very small not suitable for two adults, more child size. Tap to basin was damaged and reported also over head shower not working. Option for walk in showers would be preferable to a high bath.

Welcoming friendly staff. Easy car parking. Good access to room via lift. Room with small balcony. Quiet.

Bedside lamp not working, did not fix this after requesting that. For extended stay, room cleaning extra (we did this ourselves). Breakfast very pricey although good.

Super location, ideal for exploring Cabourg and Dives sur mer. Also good distance to the ferry port.

Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly. Location ideal as long as you’re happy for a short walk. Free parking. Only 30 mins to ferry. Apartment worked well for a family of 4. Air conditioning very effective. Useful to have a Fridge in room. We enjoyed using the pool and leisure facilities.

Noise from family next door until late at night. Can hear everything in 316 from 315. Some minor things we noticed like a loose/broken toilet seat and main part of shower didn’t seem to be working. Sofa bed very noisy getting on and off and seemed to have sunk a little in the middle.

Perfect

We were upgraded to an apartment so really enjoyed the extra space. This is the second time to visit Cabourg and to stay at the Kyriad. We will definitely stay again. Perfect distance to walk into town. There is a very good Lidl and Intermarché nearby. Love staying here!!

The freezer hadn't been cleaned out and was full of ice but this was a very minor issue.

Very clean and comfortable. We have booked an apartment but it was upgraded to studio. Big rooms, kitchen could be used for extra money. Easy to park.
