Good location. Warm and comfy

No glasses in the rooms. The creakiest bed I have ever slept in. Literally impossible to move without being awoken .

No complimentary tea/cooee. No shampoo or soap.

Central but could only park for 90mins. Had to find car park 15 min walk away.

The bed linen was clean and double bed comfortable. The location is good for exploring the old town, nearby restaurants and cathedral.

The complaints expressed by many other visitors over the last 3 years are all still present, making the room and especially the communal areas feel neglected. In the room: the window glass is cracked and broken. The shower curtain is mouldy and yellowing. The bathroom is dirty in places (door and paintwork, shower head, tiles and seals). Ceiling paint is peeling. There were no bathroom products just an empty jar? Light bulbs have blown. The bar adjacent to the property was noisy in the early hours. As guests have said before, the advert for the room is (also in my opinion) rather misleading. The listing clearly states that the room is for 2 people and contains 2 beds (a single/sofa and a double) and that if a "cot or an extra bed" for children are required, these need to be reserved and will be charged according to the age of the child. What guests are caught out by is that for 2 adults, only the double bed will be made up, and obtaining an extra sheet and pillow for the second bed as listed will cost an additonal 15 Euro! Despite being clearly advertised as a 2 bed room, unless you want to share a bed with your fellow traveller, you need to pay more. The location and price is very good, but just some basic attention to detail - i.e. a new shower curtain, repairing the broken window, refilling toiletries, changing blown light bulbs and refreshing dirty paintwork etc. would make all the difference, along with making clear the bed policy for 2 adults.

Location is excellent. Easy to find free parking. Room was very quiet, despite the bar next door. Good double glazing!

Undoubtedly good value with its large, comfortable room, and a proper bath. (I do like to relax in hot water after a long day's drive.) However....

Difficult to find, even if your navigator is working properly. Situated in a narrow one-way street, the signage isn't as visible as that of the shops and cafes amongst which it hides. The fact that the awning was covering the sign didn't help. And once you've gone past it, there's no turning back. I can't give the staff a realistic rating as there weren't any. Not even a receptionist at the reception desk which was tantalisingly visible through the locked glass doors. WiFi was iffy, and contacting the management very difficult. The most helpful person was a fellow guest who told me that breakfast was only available to those who had paid more. Which is fair enough. I would willingly have paid more, if only to salve my guilt at the low price I was paying, but I don't remember being given the option.

Bar next door was noisy till3am

The family was very, very kind and welcoming. Good value, clean, spacious.

The guests upstairs were very noisy so it was hard to get a good night's sleep.
