Mooie, verzorgde accommodatie, met een perfecte ligging. Prachtige vergezichten, in een Italiaans dorpje, met een supermarktje en restaurants op loopafstand. Parkeren gratis op eigen terrein. Ook ideaal voor tripjes naar Lucca en Florence met de trein.

Villa Pavone sits in a beautiful hillside location with sweeping views and the charm of a small medieval village, making it a good base for exploring Lucca and the Garfagnana. The apartments have rustic character, the pool looks inviting, and on-site parking, though on a slope, is convenient.
Our stay was less relaxing than expected. The pool area was often noisy with children and the hosts socialising, and the hot tub felt more like part of another rental. Facilities didn't match the online description with no coffee maker, oven, or dishwasher,and only a small portable shared BBQ hogged by the other occupants that was never cleaned and a fanciful listing of extras such as an ATM, shop,hair salon and spa that simply don’t exist on the property. There were 3 rentals on top of each other and noise carried easily between apartments, the mattress was very uncomfortable. Hosts smoking near guests was very unpleasant and contradicted the non-smoking policy stated. The recycling bins in the rental didn’t match the curbside system, so when we asked Ari about it we were left to sort through our rubbish ourselves on the side of the road. Perhaps arriving late after flight delays didn’t help, but the hosts came across as cold and sometimes overbearing, which set an unwelcome tone. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and may be better suited to families with children than to couples seeking peace and privacy.
