We did not sleep well at all!

Cleanliness! Everything was sparkling clean.

We stayed in the Annex building. -The beds and pillows are not comfortable. But more important! -There is NO soundproofing. We could hear every door along the corridor opening and closing, and all functions of bathrooms in adjacent rooms. Flushing, shower, water running in sinks, so clearly, like they are next to you.

Comfortable clean hotel with lovely views and spa

Great location for cycling and hiking in Black Forest. Food was excellent and rooms very comfortable. Spa was amazing and staff very friendly.

Be aware that you need some understanding of German to stay here as no other languages are spoken. Also the restaurant isn't always open unless you book or sign up for half board.

Truly heaven

Set in the magical heart of the Black Forest, this property is very well maintained by Claus and Hurst, a charming and pleasant couple The room had a balcony with beautiful views of the green meadow. Plenty of car parking is available, we stayed in the Gaasthais building, away from the main building. The piece de resistance was the Spa, Sauna and the swimming pool complex.. Very very clean, with 2 types of Sauna (The herbal one really refreshed your senses), 2 types of steam room (again one with herbs) and a well maintained swimming pool. Loads of deck chairs, plenty of towels and clean changing rooms. Their continental breakfast spread was excellent, loads of local cold cuts, cheese, breads, home made confitures.. an awesome treat If you are going to be in the Tonbach area, I would highly recommend this family run place.

Nice place and comfortable

This is a fantastic place for an overnight stay, but also for a longer one. It has a pool, a spa, a restaurant, free parking and internet. The scenery is also very nice.

No one speaks English here; we communicated more through an ad hoc sign language. Also, you need to pay extra attention to the added fees; for example, at check in, when we asked about the pool, they gave us two bathrobes, without further details, only to discover we were charges 6 eur/bathrobe at checkout. No one else in the Spa had bathrobes, everyone wore towels. At check out, we were charged 162 euro instead 126 (the price on booking). When pointed out, they returned the difference. Just be on guard and you will probably be ok!

Comfortable wellness hotel

This is a lovely, family-run wellness hotel. We enjoyed the pool and the sauna, in addition to the restaurant, which served delicious local food. Our room was very quiet with comfortable beds and a spacious layout. The staff were very friendly.

The bathroom was a little small for a family of three. We had trouble finding places to put our toiletries. This is a very minor thing. Everything else was great.

The location is beautiful and in a very quiet setting surrounded by forest. The rooms are spacious and stuff is friendly.

The English is minimal, but we have managed. No kettle in the room, so if you want tee or coffee, you’ll need to pay 1.5 EUR for a cup of hot water, which is outrageous. The breakfast is the same and is very basic, no diversity, no good coffee. Also no fan or AC, and it can get hot in the summer.

The Spa Area featuring two fantastic saunas (one with beautiful views), Steam cabins and a beautiful indoor swimming pool were a pleasant surprise! Bathroom are brandnew! Exceptional!!

Brilliant hotel in the Black Forest.

Such a lovely hotel and our room was so spotlessly clean, had we been told we were the first people to ever use it, I would not have been surprised. Our room was a mini suite with a balcony in the roof, looked brand new. The heated indoor pool looked really nice although we didn't have time to use it. Evening dinner was lovely with traditional German dishes. Nice breakfast as well. Good location for getting into the forest walks.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Kurzurlaub in Baiersbronn und planen bereits unseren nächsten Aufenthalt im Hotel Waldlust

Bis gestern war ich zusammen mit einer Freundin für 3 Tage im Hotel Waldlust. Wir hatten 2 Einzelzimmer gebucht, die recht gemütlich waren. Diese befinden sich zusammen mit dem Wellness-Bereich in einem Gebäude direkt oberhalb des eigentlichen Hotels. Im Zimmer gab einen bequemen Sessel und einen weich gepolsterten Stuhl, der an einem kleinen Schreibtisch stand. Über dem Nachttisch gab es eine helle Lampe, mit der Lesen im Sessel direkt daneben oder im Bett möglich war. Die Matratze war weich und sehr bequem. Das Bad modern, alles blitzsauber, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Mit meiner Freundin saß ich auch öfter im Aufenthaltsraum zum plaudern, aus einem anderen Raum konnte man Getränke aus einem Kühlschrank entnehmen, was das Plaudern noch gemütlicher gemacht hat 🍻😄! Der Wellnessbereich ist hell und warm, auch das Wasser im Schwimmbecken ist warm. Die verschiedenen Saunen sind von 14-19.00h im Dauerbetrieb. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und gut, uns hat nichts gefehlt. Das Essen im Hotel war auch sehr gut. Das Personal war superfreundlich! Die einzige Anregung, die wir hätten: Den Einzelzimmern würden ein paar Bilder an der Wand gut tun. Mit Kunst ist das ja immer so eine Sache, da sind die Geschmäcker sehr verschieden. Gäste, die hier Urlaub machen, halten sich aber vermutlich gerne in der Natur auf. Wie wäre es daher mit ein paar schönen gerahmten Natur-Fotografien aus der Umgebung…?

Mit kleineren Abstrichen für Geschäftsreisen zu empfehlen

Die Sauberkeit war sehr gut. Preis/Leistung des Frühstücks war mehr als gut. Die Sauna schön und gepflegt, das Schwimmbad sehr gut und sauber. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer im Nebengebäude gebucht um im gleichen Gebäude das Schwimmbad und Hallenbad sind. Bekommen habe ich ein Zweibettzimmer im Hauptgebäude. Ohne Nachfrage wurde mir ein geringerer Zimmerpreis berechnet als in der Bestätigung ausgewiesen war. Das fand ich sehr fair

Dadurch das ich im Haupthaus untergebracht war obwohl ich Nebengebäude gebucht hatte, musste ich einen Hof und außenliegenden Treppen queren um die Sauna und das Schwimmbad die Nebengebäude liegen nutzen zu können. Da es nass und kalt war habe ich mir dann das morgendliche Schwimmen erspart und nur die Bereich Abends kurz benutzt. Die Öffnungszeiten - 20:00 Uhr bei später Ankunft nicht so schön

Heerlijke omgeving om te onthaasten. Mooie natuur. Heel stil, op wat kerkklokken na. Een perfecte plek om te onthaasten. Wandelingen (vele !) direct vanuit het hotel. Fietsen mee is ook mogelijk. Het is een comfortabel en Duits-degelijk hotel, gerund door 2 generaties. Grote wellness-afdeling, heerlijk zwembad en prima restaurant. Al 3x geweest. Gaan binnenkort opnieuw. Ook nog eens goed bereikbaar per trein. (Het trein-traject Karlsruhe-Baiersbronn is gratis met de Gästekarte, die bij de toeristenbelasting is inbegrepen) Laatste 2,5 km per taxi.

Optisch lala, aber vergleichsweise empfehlenswert

Gebäude wie im Schwarzwald häufig anzutreffen aus den 1960er Jahren. Zimmer sind teilrenoviert, meins hatte ein neues Bad und Fußboden. Insgesamt ein gepflegter Eindruck, jedoch insgesamt wie Jugendherberge

Schönes Zimmer, das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich, sehr gutes Essen, toller Wellnessbereich und auffallend freundliches Personal. Von Vorteil ist auch die Nähe zu Freudenstadt, einer sehr schönen Stadt.
