we liked everything, location, rooms, staff,

- i was missing a sauna in the hotel, sauna would add a lot to customer satisfaction, especially after the hiking! - the EV charging station on the parking lot would be very handy, not free one, but at least any.

What an amazing establishment! I went over the Christmas break with my dog for a mini-vacation. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I wanted to go hiking and they took the time to give me maps and guidebooks and tell me the best routes to see things. The meals were amazing. Both the restaurant and the included breakfast exceeded expectations by far. They really took the time to know who was staying with them, remembered everyone's names and had a place set for them when they showed up for meals. By my third morning there, they even brought me tea without my asking. You can't find a better place. I left feeling refreshed and grateful.

The location of the place is amazing. Everywhere you looked was beautiful. The staff was very kind and helped me with everything. Breakfast was very complete and the fresh fruit they had was delicious, specially the wild strawberries.

Very traditional, friendly hotel in a perfect setting, so peaceful and all the staff were very accommodating and good fun. Food is excellent too, we enjoyed dinner there every night of our stay. The balcony of our room was a lovely place to relax after a day of touring round the Black Forest

This location is a 💎, the hotel is located in a small valley on the end of the road. The staff is very friendly, simple things like personalized welcome cards are just the little things that makes you feel even more welcome.

Very nice typical hotel at an amazing location. What made our stay exceptional was the hospitality of the staff, they all go the extra mile to make you feel appreciated. Also offering very good food at very reasonable prices, which we enjoyed every day we stayed there.

Perfect place for hiking trips

Nice hotel perfectly located for hiking trips. The staff is very kind and helpful. The room was clean and of the perfect size. The breakfast buffet was partially available (due to Corona regulations) and most of the food and drinks (i.e. ham, cheese, boiled eggs, bread etc) were brought directly to our table. Overall a very nice experience!

Fantastic place to stay in the middle of nature, we'll be back!!

Spacious room with a fantastic view! We got the Jr Suite while we paid for a standard room. No aircon but even at 38 degrees Celsius outside it was absolutely fine with the shades down. Loved the atmosphere, style, authentic, good value for money. Food & drinks from restaurant were pretty good, we did not really plan on it but ended up eating here 3 nights. Very friendly staff in traditional clothing. Breakfast excellent. Easy parking, walking paths few steps away, 400m from village with some Michelin star restaurants and shop with dirndl dresses. Great area. You really come here for the peacefulness, you hear the water stream from the small river down the hill. Wonder how pretty it will be in winter season.

Beds a little bit soft to our taste (but we like firm, very personal) and bathroom pretty standard but all OK!

Genau so stellen wir uns einen Landgasthof vor.

Ländlicher Gasthof mit Liebe zum Detail. Überall schöne Dekorationen, alles gepflegt und kein Renovierungsstau. Die Besitzer und Mitarbeiter sind alle absolut freundlich und begegnen einem mit einem Lächeln. In den Fluren und Treppenhaus sieht man keine abgeranzten Stellen. Unser Zimmer war modern eingerichtet und Tip Top sauber gewesen. Das Frühstück und Abendessen war geschmacklich und qualitativ auch sehr gut gewesen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind.

Versuch‘s mal mit Ruhe & Gemütlichkeit 😊

Die Unterkunft liegt wunderbar ruhig ganz hinten im Tonbachtal, dahinter nur noch Wald & Wild. 🍀🍄 Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war gut, alles picobello sauber und das Café & Restaurant direkt im Haus ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Es war heimelig, gemütlich und sowohl Eigentümer als auch Personal sehr herzlich, wir haben uns von Anfang an richtig wohl gefühlt. 💚☀️

Die Heizung war vermutlich noch nicht richtig in Betrieb Mitte September, daher war es anfangs etwas kühl im Zimmer. Die Einrichtung ist vom Stil her schon etwas älteren Datums, die Möbel teils etwas abgenutzt, aber bequem. Alles in allem trägt das auch zur Gemütlichkeit des Hauses bei und da das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und die Sauberkeit gut passt, war alles so völlig in Ordnung.

We hadden er een fijn verblijf.

Dicht bij de natuur, direct wandelen vanuit het hotel. Hond is meer dan welkom. Prima volledig ontbijt. Ruim balkon met uitzicht.

Parkeren was op zondagmiddag lastig. Het was er druk. Daarna geen probleem meer.

Het hotel is rustig gelegen, prachtige locatie. Vanuit het hotel al wandelmogelijkheden. Mooi uitzicht vanaf balkon. Vriendelijk personeel, onze hond was welkom aan het ontbijt.
