Nice for one night.

Very well located. Nice price. It’s an old house that has been redesigned to provide several rooms. Nice decorations. The breakfast is good. Not superb, but enough. The options are the ones you need to start the day.

A little bit noisy (wooden floors , so you can listen whenever someone walks up and down the stairs. The room we had , the bathtub wasn’t isolated from the rest of the room. The shower is too low, so you need either to sit or use the shower by your own

On the right side of the bed contact with the oblique roof is inevitable. And the step up to the bed is a bit dangerous. The colour makes it seemless and that makes it hard to see.

I would not recommend it on a hot day, but it can be a very pleasant stay in cooler weather.

Location. The breakfast was nice, mostly organic produce, which I very much appreciated. The owner is a gentleman, he tried his best, despite the negative points I raise in this review

It was horribly hot in the room I got, right under the roof, in the attic. With a hot day going on, the last thing you want is to get a room in the attic. I was looking for an accommodation with air conditioning and found this one. Well, the mobile unit was not really up to the task. In addition, it was very noisy. Despite the hot day outside, the owner started the air conditioning unit only upon my arrival. Frankly, such installation should not be advertised as room with "air conditioning", in my opinion.

Very comforting

Small but cosy room. Excellent shower. Great breakfast in cosy livingroom. It was all very much like visiting somebody in stead of renting a room.

Great location for exploring Charleville on a budget, would recommend.

Christopher is a great host, friendly and welcoming. The building is quirky and interesting and right in the centre of town. My rooms were a great size and layout. Breakfast was tasty and varied.

I wasn't aware that breakfast would be shared round the same table with other guests. Not necessarily a bad thing, it was just a bit of a lottery each day! The weather was awful, by the way!

The rooms give a window to the inner courtyard and are pleasantly decorated.

The smallest, tiny room I had made me feel slightly claustrofobic during the night. There is hardly any light from the window which made me feel locked in. There are other much bigger rooms and the service and care given to the place are really good.

Superb

The apartment exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of space, comfortable and quiet. It is right in the center. We informed the owner that we would be arriving a bit later, and he waited for us. Highly recommended.

A gem in the historic centre of Charleville-Meziers

Superb location, 2 minutes from Place Ducale. The character of the building and the interior design/decor are both fascinating and attractive. There was a lovely interior courtyard just off our room. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A free public car park is a short walk away. Very good value for money.

A small issue: our shower had a shelf inside it, which was sloping, making it hard to rest a shampoo bottle. The shelf is also a bit too big, taking up space in the shower.

Excellent proprietor--let us come in early on a rainy day with wet clothes and bicycles. Beautiful room. Beautiful old building renovated.

Warm room, good shower (inside the main room, so less privacy as there is no curtain). Fun layout (this was the 'tipsy ship' room). Central location. If you open the window to the inner court during the night, the owner's cat may pay you a visit (for non-cat lovers this might not be a plus!).

Internet kept lagging and temporarily failing. The breakfast space is compact and everybody sits at one table, some persons awakwardly sit in the way of the food. Public parking was problematic in part due to broken machines.

Very nice.

Very nice B&B located in the middle of the old center of the city. One "room" we had was very large with a sitting area and complete kitchenette, and had a balcony on the roof of the old building. The other room was large too, and with a fridge. The bathrooms were clean. The owner of the hotel was very friendly.

Both rooms had to be reached by spiral staircases. Fortunately, my travel mate, who walks poorly due to peripheral neuropathy, did not have significant trouble with it.

A fine visit to a fine city.

The location was very central and it was a wonderful house behind an ordinary facade. The breakfast was all local quality produce. Charleville is a great stopping off place, the capital of Ardennes with plenty to do but I had never heard of it before.

The room had good facilities but was very small. The breakfast though good felt a bit cramped on the table with other guests.

Very good

We stayed one night as a family of 4 (children age 10 and 12) as we were travelling through. It was very spacious, comfortable, and clean and was of a high standard. Lots of good amenities. Definitely appreciated the aircon upstairs and the fan downstairs. Some nice design and decoration quirks inside the apartment and in the stairwells. It felt quite unique in a good way. In a fantastic central location. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Note that the staircase to the upper bedroom is narrow and spiralled without a rail so is not suitable for those with mobility issues or young children. Our children were old enough (10 and 12) to take care and sleep upstairs so it wasn't an issue for us but might be for others. But if not an issue then would still recommend.

Ideal for a 3 to 4 night stay for a group of 4 in Charleville Meziers

Great location for town centre and Place Ducal. Air conditioning in in 2nd bedroom was very welcome. Being at the back of the property our apartment was very quiet . Very clean and very well equipped

The installation of a handrail / barrier on the spiral staircase to 2nd bedroom would be a useful safety addition especially when descending in the dark Air con in rest of apartment would be appreciated. Wi-Fi would be another nice to have.
