Hotel De L'Horloge

The hotel is in an excellent location in an amazing neighbourhood. Rue Oberkampf is a cool street in a really exciting neighbourhood and the adjoining Boulevard Menilmontant has some excellent bars. Close by, the Canal St Martin is also a part of Paris that is magical. We return to this area regularly and this hotel is a great base to do so. The room was clean and the hotel was really safe. It is more like serviced apartments with stove and fridge, so if you are on a budget you can cook for yourself. We didn't need to cook meals but it was a good option to have. The room is small if you are used to higher end hotels but it was absolutely perfect for our stay as we were out and about for most of every day. This is a really safe hotel in a great area and, crucially, very close to many metro and bus stops that allow you to explore the city. It is a perfect and very affordable base from which to experience Paris.

Small room. Poor kitchenette - no sharp knife or scissors, pan hard to heat due to uneven base, hob controls invisible.
