The secluded hot tub is rare, silence, nature, fresh air, birds chirping. Congrats for the idea and its implementation 👍
There were a few ladybugs inside (5-10) which are cute in general but I like the inside bug free - but I'm just mentioning this as I had to write something here 🤦♂️😀
It's all good, it's an excellent place 👍🙏

Very peaceful location and great accommodation with everything provided and instructions for everything explained clearly.

The seclusion. It felt very private.
The Roost Hut was very tidy and felt extremely modernised with its kitchen and bathroom. The hot tub area was lovely and lots of useful interactions to help with facilities.

Absolutely lovely cottage - especially over the festive time
Size was great for two couples ours was a Christmas meet up for family
Views are fabulous, actually nice being outside of Thame
We didn’t use the hot tub as was very cold/ dark / rain during our visit but think it would be great if weather a little better
Everything you need for self catering, very well equipped and owner’s superb
Nothing

Pros:
- we stayed in 'the roost' and it was VERY nice (aesthetic, comfortable, spacious, clean) (check out their website for the names)
- kind additions like little chocolates, tea, coffee, hot chocolate
- comfy + big bed
- towels AND robes
- enough utensils to cook and eat with (oil, salt, pepper, cheese grater, plastic wine glasses for hot tub etc.)
- pretty and ambient lighting outside of the hut
- spacious and modern bathroom (bluetooth/ light-up mirror)
- good distance away from other huts and completely covered by greenery, felt very private, nice view onto farm land
- there is a bus stop opposite the farm, the host very kindly explained which app to get and said they are very reliable, we took the X20 to both Oxford and Aylesbury (when it gets dark, make sure to shine a flashlight for the driver to stop as its a fast road and two buses passed us completely).
- unlike other huts (e.g. air bnb) the hosts do not charge extra to use the hot tub and do not charge extra for wood, its complete with a full instruction manual on how to get the fire going and operate everything yourself !!! FANTASTIC
Cons:
Honestly, there is nothing I can think of apart from...
- some kind of surface spray to help clean up the kitchen after cooking
- a garlic press
- perhaps a small/cheap airfryer on the counter to help with cooking as the microwave/oven thing didn't really do a good job at crisping food up
- maybe some big storage boxes under the bed so you can just slide them out and make storing things more accessible, rather than putting stuff on the floor

We really enjoyed our stay at Abbey Farm. It was peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully surrounded by nature. A perfect place to unwind — we would happily return.

Beautiful setting. Quiet, peaceful, accommodation had everything you needed. Loved it.
Nothing, everything was good. Struggled to get the hot tub going on the first night but that was more so user error than the property. Georgina soon sorted it all out though. Great host and fantastic little break away. Highly recommended.

Lovely Hot tube and BBQ grill, also comfortable bed inside the caravan.

Location was lovely and quiet.
Having stayed at many properties the hot tub has always been ready for our arrival time. Unfortunately the hot tub at this location was not ready, we had to fill and wait for it to heat up which was around a 3 hour wait. If we are asked an arrival time I would expect it to be ready. (Just my opinion).
Plenty of free fire wood and help when I called the owner.

the shepherds huts were cozy, bed super comfortable and good kitchen facilities for a weekend trip! we really enjoyed the log fired hot tub in the evenings with the open sky above! Georgina was very welcoming and friendly !
at an absolute stretch an oven would be useful, but otherwise there was brilliant kitchen facilities- and it was a lovely touch that we were left tea bags and chocolates! thanks so much!

Everything from the moment we arrived was perfect. Nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside its perfect for a chilled and relaxed time away and very quiet except for an aray of bird song.. Thame is walkable for shops, pubs and restaurants about 2 miles. A bus stop with buses ever 15/20 minutes just 50 yards from the farm entrance. The patio area is great with a wood fired hot tub, an unusual fire pit, more for light and a BBQ. Sunny position

The property was perfect for a couples weekend away. All the facilities were very well thought through, giving us the perfect space to relax in privacy. The farm was a 30 minute walk for the local town, which had a number of good pubs and shops. I’d definitely recommend to for a short stay in the UK.

Myself and my partner had an amazing stay at The Roost, Shepherds Hut. We really appreciated the birthday touches the host put up for us (brought by myself), it was a lovely surprise for my partner.
We loved the privacy of the hut and all the additional add-ons, like the hot tub, patio heater and loved the BBQ which we didn't have a chance to use.
We really enjoyed heating the hot tub up ourselves which was a lovely experience. The hut is surrounded by field and we was able to stargaze with no light pollution....and saw two shooting stars!
The hut was kitted out with everything we needed to do any meal prep which was nice not to worry about bringing anything additional. With a Bluetooth, heated bathroom mirror which was a lovely surprise !!
We would definitely come back again for longer as we had a wonderful time.

Location was great for wanting to visit Oxford and Bicester village.
The hot tub was nice when warmed up and the standard amenities were all there.
A Tv could easily be installed for some watching time and white noise etc.
The hot tub was not as I expected and no jets or bubbles. It was more like an old fashioned bath outside.

I would have happily paid more. It was absolutely incredible.
The patio heater was hard to get going and wasn’t very warm

Outdoor bathtub next to the cottage, with a hands-on experience of building a fire to heat the water—plus a BBQ for an outdoor retreat. A great British farm view.

Very hot - a fan would’ve been useful but there was a heatwave at the time

Had such a lovely stay at the Roost. Georgina is a lovely host. We loved the hot tub in particular! So private, quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend!!
The cooking utensils and pans could be updated to newer ones as they had lots of wear and tear but it’s nothing too worrisome.

It was absolutely idyllic! A real slice of paradise, somewhere you can absolutely shut off from the world and have no idea there are still others around you!
The accommodation was absolutely stunning and so well thought out, there was everything you needed to have a perfect and restful stay!
Honestly, one of the highlights for me was, reading my book in the tub, while it was dark with the fairy lights lighting the garden!
Everything was thought of, the instruction manual, for everything you needed, so you never needed to have your peace disturbed to find out!
I also loved the little touches, the small selection of games was perfect!
I honestly can not rate this place enough for anyone who just wants to peace from the world!

What a lovely find. We wanted a relaxing weekend getaway and we most certainly got that. Easy to find with hosts instructions and tucked away with plenty of privacy. Garden and patios were beautifully maintained and the Shepard's hut was immaculately clean. Lots of little touches that show that the host has really thought about everything.
The hot tub was easy to set up using the instructions and was so relaxing. We were skeptical about it being wood fired, but we much preferred it - no chemicals and it heated up great. There was a stylish patio heater so you can sit out in the evenings, also wood fired... we loved it so much we've bought one for the garden at home! We would highly recommend Abbey Farm - 10/10

amazing private location. we stayed in the roost. comfy bed, spacious interior with plenty of room to move about in the main area to get dressed, cook etc. the outdoor patio area is fantastic, really spacious and private. great wood fire bbq, comfy chairs and dining table for 2. spacious bathroom with nice hot shower, window and great mirror with a built in light. lovely for enjoying the morning sun and setting sun. plenty of room to park the car and the directions we received made it easy to find the hut. the hot tub was brilliant. took about 3 hours to get hot and then it stayed hot all day, and just needed a little topping up with the firewood. It was close enough to walk into Thame along the roadside path, which had plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops that you could spend all day there. it was also about 15 mins drive to the Oxford park and ride for a day trip. I would definitely recommend this and will be booking again
can't think of anything at all :)

Really nice and cosy, quiet, clean and peaceful.
The only thing I would say is my boyfriend and I both forgot our toothbrushes (completely our fault) however it would’ve been nice if there were some spare provided in the facility just in case :)

Lovely little hideaway…had all the basics…just enough space…the hot tub was easy to set up…just a lovely getaway to chill and be abit isolated 🤗
Maybe have a few of the trees cut down so you can see more of the view but apart from that I enjoyed it.

Booked as a surprise break away to celebrate my husbands Birthday. Never glamped before & it looked quirky in a quiet setting. Given easy directions/information to gain access. Set on working farm with sheep & horses for neighbours. The Roost is secluded but has great facilities. Information pack for all you need. Bed was comfy and just long enough for the hubby, as he is 6ft 2. Shower was great and bathroom mirror has internal bluetooth speaker, so you play music. Absolutely loved the outdoor space. Instructions for hot tub & patio heater (lovely added touch)- paid £10 to get some extra wood pellets for it. Hot tub is wood fired & takes about 3 hours to fill & heat up for the first time- a lot quicker on our 2nd night to heat up. Lights for the evening. Used the BBQ (using wood)to cook some sausages/bacon for brekkie. Kitchenette has everything you need-fridge, gas hob, microwave/combi, toaster. This was a lovely weekend away- walks, waking up with bird song. Also had the bonus of having 2 hurricane planes give us a mini display.
Can't say anything negative apart from the fact we had to leave. Would definitely stay again. Only small thing no thermometer for the hot tub that we could see.

Beautiful, private & quiet. Had everything you need for a couple’s staycation. Easy & clear instructions for arrival into the property, use of the hot tub, bbq etc.
Cosy bed - haven’t had a sleep this good in ages!
If you take a few minutes walk to the main road, you can catch the quick bus to the Thames Town Centre which was lovely.

The location was peaceful and secluded, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The shepherd’s hut was beautifully presented, with thoughtful touches that made it feel warm and inviting. The outdoor seating area with countryside views was a highlight — perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The hosts were welcoming and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The property was generally fantastic, and the only critic would be a larger frying pan!!

Fun, clean, compact and well equipped and private - everything was well organised. Bed very comfortable.
The garden and surrounding needed tidying up and it would have been nice to have a view ( some shrubs need trimming back) A few hours with a strimmer was needed in our view

All good!
