Amazing Northern Bali experience to relax

What an amazing property! And the staff were incredible. Thank you so much to Tini and her team. Nothing was too much trouble. The gardeners were amazing as well. One of them drove my son to the gymnasium and then brought him home afterwards, which is next level. The pool is beautiful as is view. The food we were served every day was so delicious. Tini was so helpful. Really enjoyed the serenity. The property as it’s very peaceful. Would definitely like to come back one day. In terms of the previous post about the dogs we saw two and they were very harmless didn’t come near us.

Villa Mathan is the ultimate hidden gem! My family and I spent seven days here, and it was pure bliss. Nestled between lush rice fields and with direct beach access, it truly feels like your own private slice of Bali. Tini and her team were incredibly warm and accommodating, always going the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. The meals were absolutely delicious, and they were always happy to cater to any special requests. We were initially concerned about the distance from the airport, but the drive was definitely worth it! Located away from the busier areas of Bali, the villa offers a peaceful retreat, perfect for anyone seeking tranquility. One highlight was the sunrise dolphin cruise that Tini arranged for us. We were picked up right on the beach in front of the villa, and after a short 10-minute boat ride, we found ourselves surrounded by a pod of around 100 dolphins. It was a truly magical experience that I highly recommend. Just a small tip: be sure to bring your own toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, etc.), as these aren’t provided by the villa.

Quiet and fantastic, our own private villa

It's a solitary villa in a really private place. The staff are too friendly if the private pool was very nice. The beach right in front of the villa is also quiet and lovely.

It's so far from the airport that it takes a lot of travel time. I'd like to have shampoo, body washer, etc. in my bathroom.

Very nice villa a great place to start our vacation. The staff was great and super accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

The road to the villa was a little rough but I hear they are working on paving. Also us Americans love our air conditioning so the AC was working over time in the bedrooms and we eventually adjusted to the open air breeze of the living areas. But these are minor things overall it was a great stay.

We didn’t want to leave!

The ultimate escape! An amazing and well maintained property with such a relaxing vibe. The staff is so helpful and friendly while at the same time giving you privacy and space to enjoy the villa. We’ve enjoyed many different properties in Bali over the past decade and Villa Mathan definitely ranks near the top! We will return!

Overall is great but Cleanliness needs ATTENTIONS..

Outdoor is fantastic (love the swimming pool, green and very well maintained garden and beach. Staffs are great. They are all very nice and very friendly.

Unfortunately, the indoor is a let down. The kitchen area is very dirty. Bedrooms are not well cleaned. Lots of centipades in the west side of the bedrooms. The centipedes got up to the blanket and bed. Cooking tools are not well cleaned.

Die ruhige Lage. Personal ist sehr nett. Essen war sehr gut und lecker.

Die Villa ist bereits in die Jahre gekommen. Die Fotos bei booking.com sind nicht mehr aktuell. Küche ist eklig. Haben bei booking reklamiert, aber es wurde nicht reagiert. Schränke in den Zimmern sind wegen Unsauberkeit nicht nutzbar gewesen.

Adembenemende villa aan zee – een unieke ervaring in Lovina

Wat een schitterende plek! De villa ligt werkelijk prachtig, direct aan zee, met een uitzicht dat doet denken aan een luxe Malibu Mansion. De rust en ruimte maken het gevoel compleet alsof je een privéparadijs bewoont — perfect voor wie zoekt naar ontspanning, stilte en comfort. Het personeel verdient een groot compliment: ontzettend vriendelijk, warm en altijd bereid om te helpen. Hoewel het even wennen was dat er gedurende de dag personeel in huis aanwezig is, bleek dit vooral heel prettig en gastvrij. Ze zorgen dat alles tot in de puntjes wordt verzorgd. De villa zelf is ruim en stijlvol ingericht, maar je merkt hier en daar dat het gebouw al wat jaren te maken heeft gehad met het tropische klimaat. Er is wat slijtage zichtbaar en enkele voorzieningen, zoals de douche (lage waterdruk en beperkt warm water) en het bad (niet verwarmd en lekt licht), verdienen onderhoud. Dat gezegd hebbende: de locatie, sfeer en service maken dit absoluut een bijzondere en onvergetelijke verblijfservaring. Een plek om tot rust te komen, te genieten van het uitzicht en je even helemaal weg van de wereld te voelen.

在booking订房超过10年，第一次写差评。 1、Air pollution! sorrounding area burning plastic and rubbish everyday! 周边天天有人焚烧塑料和垃圾，味道刺鼻。房东说提供照片才允许提前退房，但是后面又反悔，平台介入后不接听客服电话，仅发信息说坚决不退钱。（见照片） 2、The villa is Not safe，wild dogs everywhere！门口海滩有很多狗，会不时跑到别墅里面，第一天散步被狗追咬，上午基本无法散步。 3、Lack of equipment. 房间陈旧，设施和介绍的完全不一样，没有洗浴用品，做spa要从其他酒店借人、没有独木舟、没有自行车、没有浮潜等等提及的设施。 4、Fruit is not fresh. 水果不新鲜，跟房东产生争执以后第二天的水果里混有很多猫咪毛发。 5、inconvenience transport. 交通极其不便，别墅不让Grab入内，周边几公里农舍和农田，如果想外出只能通过酒店人员提前约车。房东不住在当地，遇到问题后服务员帮助联系到房东一次，房东说只是隔壁着火了而已，现在火已经灭了，不影响你们继续住。后面就屏蔽了我的邮箱和全部来自booking客服人员的电话。第二天又看到隔壁房舍焚烧垃圾的白烟，拍了照片。但是房东拒绝沟通，后面每一天的食物都不新鲜，在水果中看到很多毛发后，只好每天租车带着孩子去旁边的小镇吃饭，booking客服提醒我要注意自身安全，不要再与房主产生冲突。总之是一次特别糟心的旅程，北部的民宿有很多，请大家谨慎选择。
