Lowestoffe Country Lodge - Trout

We stayed at Trout Lodge for two nights and would have happily stayed longer. Trout Lodge is one of those rare places that keeps calling you back. It is not only a place to relax physically but also a place where your soul truly finds peace. At this time of year, the golden-yellow blossoms on the trees and their sweet fragrance create an atmosphere that feels almost magical. We thoroughly enjoyed our hike and the breathtaking views from the lodge. As always, the accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We would also like to thank the owner for providing plenty of firewood to keep us warm during the cold winter evenings. Some of our favourite family moments were spent sitting in front of the fireplace, talking, laughing, and playing board games together. Our children were absolutely delighted to discover a chocolate cake waiting for them. It was such an unexpected surprise, and they were genuinely grateful. It made them feel very special. Another thoughtful touch that means so much to us is the beautiful bouquet of freshly picked local flowers waiting on the table. It is always the first thing we notice when we arrive. No matter the season, there is always a fresh arrangement welcoming guests. It is a simple gesture, but it says so much—it makes you feel that you are not just another booking, but a truly valued guest. That warmth and care make this place unforgettable. We highly recommend Trout Lodge to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, leave behind the traffic and constant noise, and simply recharge. Here you can enjoy breathtaking scenery, peaceful surroundings, birdsong, the gentle sound of the wind through the trees, and wowonderfully quiet mornings with a cup of coffee while taking in the view.
