Boutique Apartment

Perfect location for restaurants and bars plus close to tram, metro and bus. All of the main attractions were nearby and most were within walking distance. The airport bus stops just metres from the apartment.

Fantastic hosts and place. We had great communication with Sophie and her father. Sophie's dad met us outside the apartment and gave us a quick orientation course and detailed instructions on how to use the keys and the apartment amenities. He speaks good English. With Sophie we exchanged a couple of text messages, her English is impeccable. Everything was clean and well organized. The apartment building itself is full of character with interesting inner courtyard. It is in a walkable neighborhood with amazing cafes just outside the door. DEAK FERENC metro station is 50 meters away. 100E bus to the airport  is a 3-minute walk. It is free for seniors, we confirmed with the bus driver. Actually, if you are 65 or older, public transportation in Budapest is free, regardless of nationality. This includes the BKK network—metro, trams, buses, trolleybuses, and the HÉV within the applicable Budapest area. BKK explicitly states that people over 65, regardless of nationality or legal status, may travel free with proof of age. It amazed us but in fact we got everywhere we wanted to by walking and used historic yellow Metro line more out of curiosity. It is the second oldest metro line in the world.

The sound proofing in this old building is poor and a couple of nights we heard our neighbors until well after midnight. Just bring earplugs.

The host was excellent in communicating with me from the day I booked the apartment for my stay. The location in the the heart of the city and easy to get to from the airport with a lot of restaurants to try local food. The apartment is clean and tidy. The apartment had all the resources required to make the stay enjoyable. I appreciated meeting someone at the location as well - who allowed us into the property and also gave us advice about the city, what to see, areas to explore. The apartment is adequately for 2 people and close to all transport links including bus, trams and metro.
