Purple Monkey Hostel

High volume hostel where you can easily meet others. There are several shared spaces which are nice. Restaurants and cafés are near by. Breakfast was free

This touristic district is safe and expensive. The top beds have no fresh air and mine was smelly. This was the 1st place in 4 months that did not give free towels Hot water was fluctuating and not very hot

The showers were good. Great simple breakfast. Coffee, tea, juice, scrambled eggs and fruit slices.

Bedsheets always came loose from the mattress. My bed light didn't work and the individual bed fan didn't work either.

This hostel was really great! The bathrooms were nice, and breakfast was included, which I didn’t know beforehand. The staff were very friendly — I needed to print bus tickets and they helped immediately. Reception is 24/7, which was great because I arrived late due to a delay. The location is very good — about 10–12 minutes walking to Poblado metro station. There’s a shop nearby, restaurants and bars around, and the area felt safe even after dark. I truly recommend staying here — just be prepared for slightly higher prices in the neighborhood as it’s very touristic.

The only downside was that the room was quite small for so many people and smelled bad — but that was due to other guests’ things and not the hostel itself. Also, the fans were a bit noisy. Other than that, everything was fine.

Basic accommodation with the bare minimum. Was not terrible. roof area is very chill and relaxing. because there wasn’t a lot of people it was quiet. free breakfast was nice. location is perfect.
