I usually stay in hotels but was very glad to stay at Vila Tiha

The location is excellent and Katja is a delightful host. I was in Apartment 1 which has its own entrance from the beautiful garden that faces the water. Villa Tiha is close enough to stroll into Cavtat but the little bay and beach in front of the villa is already attractive enough in its own right.

Some of the furniture can use updating but the pictures shown on the website are accurate, so I knew what to expect. Otherwise, everything was great, including internet access.

Always a lovely stay here at Villa Tiha! This is our second time back and we will hopefully be back again. The host is lovely and attentive. We love the room & the personal touches like the old family photos. The TV is brilliant with Netflix for the quiet evenings. The property is so close to some lovely swimming spots and feels so private and peaceful. The exterior is so gorgeous including the wonderful gardens! The air conditioning is great too! Thank you!

The bathroom shower needs a major upgrade - this post really ought to be separated per unit to be clear in what each accommodations are. It was tough to know what you were getting. The host shared a door with the unit we stayed in which made us wary of any noise we were making.

Felt a little cluttered with a dining table and chairs a breakfast bar and stools in a small area. Could improve some of the kitchen items as they were old and a couple of things were broken

Superb situation.

Spacious suite with decent kitchen (which we didn't use) and an exceptional breakfast provided at extra cost. Superb situation overlooking little harbour but behind trees so sheltered. Beautiful sunsets and very near good restaurants.

Poor

The price was ok for a one night stay. Beautiful outside building. Potentially nice gardens. Nice little patio. Hostess gave good instructions on finding the place and kindly waited for us to arrive after hours as our bus was delayed.

Room was overly cluttered with furniture too big, odd bits, making the 'kitchen/dining look like a junk shop. Too much furniture, nowhere to put things. Shower looked modern but nowhere to put soap etc while showering as hose needs to be held. Maybe if you are washing your hair it would work but otherwise quite impractical. No instructions provided re shower use or hot water so only cold shower available in the morning. Towels were like very old sandpaper, but there were sufficient number of towels though no face washer. Kitchen was so cluttered it would be impossible to cook much beside make a cuppa. Mug was dirty and needed to be washed before use. No teatowel provided just a tablecloth which may have been meant to be used as teatowel. Bed was very low to the ground and had foam mattress. It felt a lot like an old sofa fold out bed. The pillows were not proper pillows but we're made of dense bits of foan. We did not feel like welcome guests really but more like a quick and easy source of income. The apartment had all the bones of a beautiful, stylish holiday stay but unfortunately our apartment and the garden all seemed unloved and uncared for - a bit like the guests.

Not the cleanest. bedding was musty smelling. toilet and shower needed cleaning. they have to fix the shower not draining well to make it acceptable. Also the host was talking loud very late into the night.

Wonderful place to stay if you don't want to be in the thick of things in Dubrovnik.

Fantastic location, in the middle Bay so close to all the beaches/swimming spots, restaurants, ferry to Dubrovnik and also the main area of Cavtat but very quiet as well. The terrace was great to sit on in the morning and evening. The host was friendly and welcoming. We could have stayed for ever!

It's old style with dated kitchen and bathroom but that didn't bother us.

The manager/owner was wonderful to us. She even brought mandarin oranges from this property the day we were leaving. It's a great location for walking to see the sites, to a restaurant, grocery store, etc.

As with many apartments in Croatia, the pans for cooking needed improvement. We like fried eggas in the a.m., but the pan to use was difficult to clean. There was no spatula, a very common occurance in Croatia.
