Great Tuscan Stay

I had a whole, very comfortable house to myself, all on a single level. It was in the beautiful location of Fiesole. It would be ideal for anyone wanting to have an extended stay in Tuscany. Only a 20 minute bus ride into Florence, with stunning views on the way down. The highlight of location was the local museum. Totally unexpected and amazing! It was very clean and comfortable, with all appliances and amenities. Having the washing machine was a bonus.The bed was large and comfortable. Host was very kind assisting me with my suitcase down to house. He took the time to show me the whole property and explain everything.

Nothing, really. The access down to house from street is down a long gravel path with steps which was a challenge with a case on wheels, and going back up upon departure. Worth the effort though.

Lovely little place, but a bit musty if you suffer allergies.

Sweet place, in a great location on a hill-town overlooking Florence. Only a short walk from the market place, with good facilities nearby. Easy bus ride to and from Florence, except for Sundays.

The bedroom was very musty, and the blankets gave us both terrible allergic reactions. To make it worse, there’s a net sewn onto the small duvet cover so that every time one of us turned over, the scratchy, dusty net brushed across our faces. We hated that! Only other complaint was that there are absolutely no wooden spoons, spatulas or utensils to protect the Teflon/non-scratch pans. Sort these two issues and guests will be much happier.

Parking with a larger car was not possible in front of the house and the swimming pool was closed which was something I’d hopes for but it was still a beautiful stay regardless

Ideal location for exploring Fiesole and short bus ride into Firenze.

Great location, in walking distance to shops, cafeteria, restaurants and bus stop. The apartment is very well equipped, is clean and comfortable, in a quiet area and free parking about 300m from the street.

Stayed only one night and couldn’t fault it.

Lovely place for a quiet and relaxing time

The facilities were great especially the swimming pool. The views from the upper garden were stunning. Nicely located in a quite town from where you could easily reach Florence by bus (1.50€ single ticket). The host (Filippo) was accommodating and very helpful; it was a nice touch to be welcomed with a bottle of wine.

If it wasn’t for visible damp marks on the walls and the smell, we would give the property 10/10.

Cozy place with good value for money!

Very peaceful and quiet place with an amazing garden. Bus #7 goes frequently to Florence and the stop isn't far from the apartment. Fiesole is a beautiful and cozy little town with some nice restaurants. Staying here was a really nice change after spending a few days in noisy, busy cities.

The apartment was a bit cold and the sheets a bit damp at first (probably been empty for some days before us), but heating the apartment with the A/C and electric heater helped and we had no trouble getting a good night's sleep.

Very nicely furnished, in good taste. The welcoming bottle of Chianti was excellent, and the olive oil incredible.

Not a problem for us, but access would be difficult for someone with reduced mobility.

Great proximity to Florence

The swimming pool, the views from the garden, great quality bathroom. The first kitchen that I felt like at home during our travels. It was really well equiped and just a joy to cook in. It was really convenient to go to Florence by bus, around 20min and the bus goes every 15min. We just left our car in Fiesole and didnt have to worry about parking in the city.

Excellent place in an excellent suburb of Florence for peace and quiet at night.

Being in Fiesole was perfect for seeing Firenze without stress. Location of this flat in Fiesole was excellent, very near the center. Restaurants, caffès, bars, laundromat, supermarkets were all in the center near the Piazza Mino. At roughly 15 minute intervals, the ATAF Bus line number 7 goes from Piazza Mino to Firenze Stazione SMN i.e. rail station Firenze Santa Maria Novella. From there all the tourist sites of Florence are a 10 minute walk, at most. Parking (in mid and late September) was cost-free; it was a short downhill walk to a parking lot with many free spaces. Fiesole is worth a visit in its own right: some tour buses come up from Florence, but most Florence visitors don't visit Fiesole to sightsee. Rather it is used to stage multiple days in the Florence region.

Be cautious of GPS navigation guidance to Fiesole. We happened to be driving in a car. All the apps: Apple Maps, Google Maps and Rome to Rio had bad impractical guidance on excessively narrow roads, some of which were not paved. Bear in mind a few check points: this property is very close to the Biblioteca Comunale de Fiesole. Bear in mind it is also close to Piazza Mino or the Musei di Fiesole.

Trevligt litet hus i en by på landet med bra bussförbindelse till Florens(ca 20 minuter och många avgångar). Egen trädgård med fina vyer. Tyst och lugnt. Jag skulle kunna tänka mig att hyra stället igen.

Ingenting stort, men faciliteterna kan beskrivas som aningen rustiska, efter att man har dragit toaletten tar det länge före man kan dra den igen. Den tredje sovplatsen var en vanlig soffa istället för än bäddsoffa(jag sov bra i den ändå)

Casa con molta privacy.ottimo. piscina bella e scenografica con gli ulivi sopra la testa Fiesole bella ,ma comunque in 15 minuti col pullman sei a Firenze(fermata a pochi minuti a piedi dalla casa) che era il mio intento di scegliere una struttura vicina a Firenze ma in un posto più tranquillo Bei locali per cenare anche a Fiesole stessa

Mit dem Autobus hoch nach Fiesole. Man entflieht der ganzen Hektik, dem Lärm und den Abgasen in Florenz und befindet sich in einer Oase der Ruhe mit wunderbarem Blick in die Toskana. Der schöne Garten des Hauses hat einen großen Anteil daran.

Die Busverbindungen nach Florenz sind etwas umständlich geworden. Früher konnte man direkt in die Stadt fahren. Jetzt muss umsteigen und mit der Straßenbahn weiterfahren.

il padrone di casa molto accogliente, ci ha fatto trovare l'appartamento pronto al nostro arrivo. La cucina è dotata di tutti gli accessori e davvero molto intima. a due passi dalla piazza del paese.

forse il prezzo non è del tutto rapportato, considerando che non vi è colazione, che il soggiorno è stato fuori stagione e che non vi è l'utilizzo della piscinetta in giardino essendo gennaio.
