Very good location for visiting Portofino, Rapallo, and Cinque Terre. Walking distance to buses and the train station. We loved the balcony, and having a washing machine was really handy. The host was lovely and welcoming.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, though fine for a short stay.

Everything was perfect - from the cozy atmosphere to the thoughtful details. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, treating us more like friends than guests. Truly a 10/10 experience.

Wonderful!

The apartment location is perfect - a few blocks from the busy main street but still in the heart of town. It was beautiful and bright with two small balconies, perfectly clean, a spacious bathroom and air conditioning. Rita was incredibly helpful and kind, available anytime we had any questions!

The kitchen was not equipped with any staples, but there are a number of grocery stores just steps from the apartment which made preparing meals very convenient. It is a bit of a noisy area which we didn’t mind as it was just part of life in SML, but if you had small sleeping kids, it may be a consideration. We loved being in the heart of town and watching local life carry on around us.

Superb

Our 1 bedroom apartment that we stayed in was utter perfection! We were celebrating our honeymoon & this was such a welcoming, peaceful place to come to after being in busy Rome & Florence. My absolute favorite thing was opening up the doors off the dining room and sitting out on the patio just staring out to the sea. We were able to get some laundry taken care of in the cute little washing machine, which was very helpful during our trip. The kitchen is well stocked with whatever items you might need & the bed & couch were both quite comfortable. The apartment is centrally located within the town as well. Quick walk (downhill) from the train station & then a nice flat walk into the main part of town. Ferry dock was very close as well. There was also a grocery store right across the street which was helpful. Rita was great--very quick communicator via WhatsApp & gave us lots of suggestions during our stay. Highly recommend this apartment, and WHEN we come back to SML (because it isn't an 'if', it is a 'when'!) we will absolutely try and stay here again!

Just a couple of minor things--there were no toiletries at all in the bathroom (not even leftovers from prior guests) and we were running low on the ones that we brought, but it wasn't a big deal since the grocery store was right across the street! I am a pillow snob & like to sleep with 3 for myself (excessive, yes, I know), but there were only 2 pillows on the bed & 1 very thin one in the closet. The curtains in the bedroom were quite sheer & let all the sunlight in. A nice way to wake up, but forget about trying to sleep in if you have light sensitivity.

We loved this one bedroom apartment in the center of Santa Margherita Ligure. It was sparkling clean, with good kitchen and bathroom facilities, a washing machine and an efficient lift (flat is on the 5th floor so this is very helpful). Rita was a wonderful host - very helpful and super responsive. She also gave us great local restaurant reservations. The view from the two balconies was the highlight - you feel like you are part of the city and yet can see the sea and the lights of the villas on the hillsides. We felt like we were locals and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you, Rita! We are already missing this lovely apartment and SML!

Location is perfect , as is the apartment. Stop scrolling and book before someone gets in before you.

Location , spotless, car parking , view from balconies , facilities and of course the lovely host Rita. You’ve obviously read the other reviews and that’s why I choose here. No point repeating what they all said. Just book knowing you have made the best choice and enjoy the laid back Italian lifestyle.

The loo roll was the wrong way round to what I prefer. Though the wife disagrees lol. Also having to leave.

Good base for exploring the Ligurian coast

The location was close to all amenities. The host was on hand and helpful if required. She gave excellent advice on where to eat and what to do in the area. The lift to the property was helpful as it was on the 4th floor. The bed was very comfortable. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The apartment is well described as sunny with 2 terraces.

Excellent location, beautiful apartment

Truly a SUNNY house! My apartment faced east, and every morning the sun came up over the water, filling the rooms with light. Lots of windows to let in the sea breezes, modern and updated, and a very convenient location. I also got to see another apartment in the building, and it was equally nice: newly renovated with lots of light, and spacious as well. Location is great -- just a few minutes walk to the beach area, about 10 minutes to the train station, and with a ton of restaurants and stores nearby. There's a grocery store right down the street if you want to get a few basic items or decide to cook some meals. Nicely appointed kitchen with new appliances, well-designed bathroom, and a large bedroom with a good-sized closet. The BEST part though was Rita, who was incredibly warm, helpful and friendly, and even had a delicious focaccia and a beer waiting for me on arrival! Rita responded to any questions or needs almost instantly, and was very generous with her recommendations for restaurants and with SML info. She lives in the building and obviously cares about making sure her guests have a good visit in her beautiful city. Catching a bus to Portofino or a train to Cinque Terre was easy, and the SML restaurants and nightlife made for a really enjoyable time there. Can't wait to return and will definitely be staying at Sunnyhouse again!

Superb

During the stay we had an experience of true italian life - everything was just as we dreamed about. Wonderful views from the balkonies, everything you need just in a few steps distance. Bars, restaurants, grosery stores, promenade, beaches, train station - very close. Santa Margherita Ligure - the city you saw in italian movies, small, cosy, not very busy with tourists. Portofino - 5 km walking with spectacular views. Want to get some exercises - go hiking just stright from the apartmens.

The noise from the outside was the thing we were prepared for - it is the city centre, and somehow the noice of motorbikes, church bells didn't bother us. But the last night we had unpleasant experience of hearing every word from the apartment nearby - it was obvious, that the isolation is very poor and we was lucky enought not to have neibhours through all the week.

The location was excellent. The accommodation was very comfortable and the decor and ambience was beautiful and inviting. It offers all the facilities of a comfortable home, even a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher.
