Es war toll, nach dem Flug direkt in die Wohnung gehen zu dürfen. Das Highlight der Unterkunft ist der grosse Pool, der allen Gästen zur Verfügung steht.

Wir waren beim Auschecken überrascht, dass wir die Wohnung noch in bar bezahlen mussten. War jedoch unserer Fehler, stand im Kleingedruckten auf unserer Buchungsbestätigung.

The balcony with an almost perfect view of the town and the sea. It was also wonderful that there were no restrictions on swimming in the pool. So, if you haven’t tried swimming under the moonlight yet – go for it, the pool is open anytime. The owner is a very kind elderly man, surprisingly good with technology – he uses the translator app on his phone perfectly.

What I really didn’t like was the surroundings of the apartments – vegetable gardens, an unpaved access road, an untidy area behind the house, and on arrival you are greeted by some kind of storage shed with construction supports. The apartments are located near the industrial part of Zadar. There are factories and shops, and the airport is very close. The entrance to the apartments, including the staircase, was constantly filled with cigarette smoke. Another big downside was that the air conditioning was only in one room – at night the bedroom was very hot. Of course, we opened the windows, but then we got bitten by mosquitoes. On the positive side, the sound of the church bells didn’t bother me at all – I actually felt it added to the local authenticity.
