PERFECT!

This was our 11th year to Plantanias and our 1st stay at the Rock House. Let’s just say for the next 11 years we've found our second home. Location is perfect, accommodation was very clean and spacious. If you want a day by the pool in all day sun or a 10 min walk to the beach it’s here! Agis "what a nice guy" came by a couple of times to check the pool levels and to see if everything is OK If you’re going to Plantanias - STAY HERE, you will not be disappointed

that the holiday came to an end.

Fantastic holiday in a lovely, well-equipped house.

The house was spacious and well-equipped. The air-con worked well (which is not true for all properties elsewhere in Crete, sadly) and was a blessing during the heatwave for some of the days while we were there. The pool and garden space were also a good size and well maintained, and the house had maid service about every 2 days. The location was very good, with lots of restaurants and a beach in easy walking distance, but we also had a car to explore further afield, so the private parking was also a bonus. The location of the houses behind locked gates made it feel very private and secure despite the hustle and bustle of the village being at the end of the driveway. We did not interact with the owner or housemaid very often as we were out and about but they were very friendly when we did meet them.

Amazing property

We just returned from our 11 nights stay at this wonderful property. The property is very clean and had everything we needed for our comfortable stay . Nice touch on the arrival a fresh fruits and a bottles of wine 😊The location of the villa absolutely amazing, everything so close :bars, restaurants, shops, beach. Local beach is a three minute walk .We really enjoyed a Greek food . The pool was clean and a good size which we enjoyed a lot as the weather was hot..Air conditioning is provided and the house interior decor is very nice. Villa was cleaned during our stay and bedding was changed. Agis was welcoming and friendly and Sophia our cleaning lady was so kind,helpful.and we had a bit of chat :) Yioula was very helpful when I need to change the dates of our holiday as I’ve made a mistake looking at the wrong year for the school holidays.Thank you 😊 I would highly recommend Villa Melody

Crete was amazing, accommodation made it a memorable

It was a great relaxing place after a busy day exploring the area. Our hosts were amazing, they gave as great advice with what to see and easy to contact. We had a fantastic stay at this villa – great value and high quality throughout. The decoration was tasteful, and the villa was very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the private pool, terrace, rooftop, and garden – perfect for relaxing as a family. The owners were kind and responsive, making everything easy. Highly recommended as a wonderful private alternative to a standard hotel for a family of four!

A little bit of heaven.

The house was well equipped and the beds comfortable. It was very clean with plenty of towels and hot water. Even though it was in the middle of Platanias the setting of the house made it feel like it was in the middle of nowhere. Really peaceful, even in the evening. The pool was fabulous and the hosts were on hand if you needed anything. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants around and the beach is close too.

Fantastic little place, ideal for people who like a very quiet & relaxed holiday, but also like the bars and restaurants The Villa is situated 5 mins away from the beach, bars & restaurants, you can't really go wrong.

Freezing Pool, but that will probably change if the weather gets hotter, we stayed at the end of May and the weather was not good👎🏼 There also seems to be a lot of ants around on the patio ? Even though we swept it clean every morning they seem to come back! But it's not that bad to bother us. The other thing to note, the Villa has a few very friendly cats that hang around, so if you got a problem with cats i would say think twice, but they don't get in the way of things and don't go into the villa, they have been trained well.

amazing villa with own small pool. very nice after hot day on the beach the villa had everything we needed. Coffee machine, microwave and all the silverware. free parking space nice restaurants and fast food within walking distance The hosts were very kind and even welcomed us with a fruit basket and a bottle of wine

Would absolutely recommend, we had a fantastic stay

The villa and pool area are beautiful. We felt very secluded even though you are in the centre of everything. The villa has absolutely everything you need. Yioula and Agis were very welcoming and gave some great restaurant recommendations. The near by Olive Tree was perfect for lunch with a sea view and we would also recommend Astrea which is higher up with spectacular views at sunset, the owner Jorgen was brilliant and the food very very tasty! We will definitely be back to Platanias again

Beautiful villa

VIlla Melody is beautiful and had everything we needed. Comfortable inside and outside, we could not fault our holiday. The location was in walking distance to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The owners are lovely helpful when needed but give privacy aswell. We will definitely be returning there is so much more to see.

Great location in the centre of town. Surrounded by supermarkets, restaurants and minutes from the beach. It has a private gated entrance with ample off street parking. The villa itself being a traditional rock villa is nice and cool inside even when the temperature hits mid 30s. There is also air con. The downstairs playroom was great with lots of toys meaning we didn’t have to travel with loads. In addition to the play room we had a good size cot and two high chairs. The garden and pool are very private surrounded by mature trees and hedges so not overlooked at all. We were a little concerned there would be noise from the town in the evening and at night but it was not a issue. The only noise during the day comes mainly from the crickets but you get used to it and they quiet down at sunset. It’s a good base to explore the town and wider area from and there are some great recommendations from the villa owners. Out host was there for as much or as little contact as we would like. The maid service was a great addition and very friendly when we bumped into each other. Thanks for the hospitality and treats on arrival. Nigel, Jo and Amber-Grace

Ο ιδιοκτήτης ήταν αγενέστατος! Στην αρχή μας ζήτησε 300 ευρώ μετρητά σαν εγγύηση, το οποίο δεν αναγράφεται πουθενά! Την τελευταία μέρα που ήρθε ήταν επιεικώς αγενής!! Έκανε λεπτομερή επιθεώρηση στο σπίτι, σαν να ψάχνει να βρει ζημιά για να κρατήσει παραπάνω χρήματα!! Εννοείται πως δεν βρήκε τίποτα και επέστρεψε τα χρήματα, με το ζόρι όμως αφού του λέγαμε πως βιαζόμαστε να φύγουμε και δεν περνάμε ανάκριση! Το σπίτι ήταν πολύ καλό, αλλά με αυτό τον άνθρωπο, δεν το συνιστώ καθόλου!! Το 5 που έβαλα, είναι πολύ επιεικώς.....

Booket i oktober 24 . nevnte på melding og mail som eier svarte på at vi er 2 voksne og 3 barn. Da det kun gikk å booke for 4 online. men booking oppgav at man kunne be om extra seng gratis ved forespørsel. Uansett skulle minste jenta dele seng med foreldrene. Dagen før innsjekk fikk vi melding om at vi måtte ha med 300 i depositum. I cash… vi måtte også ha med 450 euro i CASH for å betale for den ekstra personen. ( som er et lite barn som skal sove i vår seng). Alt dette kommer altså dagen før innsjekk. Vi prøver å snakke med eieren om dette og viser til mail hun har svart på, noe hun først benekter men så innser. Det ender opp med at vi må betale . Vi har alt av bilde bevis og har nå pågående sak hos booking og reiselivsforsikring. Utrolig kjedelig å starte ferien på denne måten. Vi hadde gledet oss hele året for å komme på vår niese sin dåp. Stedet er fint men desverre er eier lite gjestfri og tenker kun på penger!

Par rapport aux photos du site, le piano porte à confusion car on croit qu'il fait parti de la location. Les photos donnent aussi l'impression que la grandeur des pièces sont plus spacieuses surtout rez de chaussée. Il aurait sympa de mettre à disposition un minimum tels que : un peu de café (surtout quand on arrive tard dans la location) , sel, poivre, huile vinaigre et un torchon pour essuyer vaisselle, nous en France dans les locations c'est toujours un minimum car on cuisine pas mal.
