Astoria Downtown

En general todo bien, limpio, buenas instalaciones, algo antiguo pero correcto todo, muy buena ubicación y el personal muy bien.

Que al llegar no había nadie, tuve que llamar al anfitrión porque la puerta estaba cerrada y no había nadie, de todas maneras al llamar en 5 minutos ya vino, no tardó nada en venir.

Ubicació. Calefacció molt eficient. Aigua calenta. Llits confortables. Espaios.

Escala molt deteriorada, si estigués en condicions seria espectacular. Barra dutxa sense cargol superior La mampara desenganxada. Millor neteja. Mala informació a l'arribada. No donen cap mena instrucció , ni de com hem de deixar les claus al marxar. Ens van dir que ens portaria una segona clau i no ho van fer. No es que sigui molt sorollós, el cert es que es descansa be, però dóna a un pati on es deixen els cubells grans d'escombraries ,golejant les tapes i al buidar-los.

Lo bien situado que está a un paso de todo

The location is fine and within walking distance of the centre and most sights - but then again, my mate and I walked 50+ kilometers in 3 days, so most things would have been... Pre-arrival info was fine, including how to get to the flat from airport (although bus prices needs to be updated!) - do get the 100e bus from the airport, it stops a few minutes from the flat and is good value. Rooms are spacious with heigh ceilings and quiet although one room face a walkway balcony where obviously every noise can be heard when people walk pass. Great with a cupboard of 'flip-flops' in the corridor - you will need them for the thermal baths around town.

The flat needs some work, most importantly a new showerbar, holding the shower head so you can have a proper shower. There was a smell of gas from the gasmeter in the corridor which was of course a bit unpleasant (not to the point of feeling dangerous in any way). The TV didn't work as the 'no signal' message appeared after app. 10-30 seconds of viewing - every time a picture appeared. Flat generally needs a modernisation. The small kitchen is what it is, but not a place you would want to sit four people for a meal. We were told a relative of the host passed away in the morning of our arrival, which is of course an very unfortunate circumstance and one we did sympathise with, but it also meant we gained access to the flat 4 hours after expected and then to find bags of laundry in the bathroom, and in the washing machine and no toiletpaper in the flat (though this was mentioned as a thing that could be sorted, we bought a few rolls ourselves). If you have long legs (or are taller than 180cm...) you may find the toilet difficult to fit in. Pictures need updating - and why not post some pictures of the grand staircase - which does need a lot of work and updating. Please, get some better pillows.... All in all, we did enjoy our stay, so don't let my moans put you off...
