Heart of Culture Budapest

*The location is great. It's on the coolest street in Budapest, with lots of things to see, pubs, restaurants, etc. Karavan, the street food place, is right across the street. *Although it's on a busy street, it's very quiet, as the place faces an inner courtyard. *Big living room. *Kitchen where you can cook. *The building is well-maintained, unlike other fishy places in the area. *Two toilets, which were very useful. *It was overall clean. *Elevator. *New washing machine and dryer. *Very close to the metro, and a main road with lots of buses that can take you anywhere in the city. *Beds are comfortable. *Big TV in the living room. We overall enjoyed our stay.

Again, we enjoyed the place overall. But there are small things that can be improved. Those things are not crucial enough to prevent anyone from booking this place, but they make the stay less comfortable and give the overall impression of a lack of attention. *The listing says "Free toiletries." There wasn't any shampoo, shower gel, or anything like that. *They gave us only 3 toilet paper rolls, which weren't enough for a party of 4 for 5 nights. When we realized that, they couldn't bring any to us on time, so we had to buy some. *When we entered, there was a strong smell in the apartment. Once we made sure we opened the windows every morning, it was ok, but still not the nicest first impression. *The pans were very old and very scratched. We used them, but it didn't feel so great. *There's a dishwasher, but it's integral, and it was missing the cabinet panel. This means you have to hold the door while loading; otherwise, it will shut and you may break the dishes. *The faucet in the kitchen should be replaced. *There's a coffee machine, but you don't get any capsules, and it's some specific brand of machine that has capsules only in specific specialty shops. We searched in 4 different supermarkets and couldn't find the right kind. Hence, we couldn't really use it. *The kettle is usable, but broken. *The shower curtain is old and can use a replacement. *The listing says "slippers". They were provided, but they were used and dirty.

Location was brilliant and double bathroom perfect for the family of 4, the washer and drier were fantastic and attention to our requirements from the staff, professional and courteous.

Limited equipping of the kitchen, could be improved.
