Hôtel Belvue

We had the family suite that was vhad plenty of space and it had this cool terrace. It is not hard too arrive at the location and you have bars, restaurants, to go food locations and a supermarket that is pretty close. You can arrive at the city using public transportation. And the staff is friendly, helpfull and there at all times of the day.

The cleanliness was a bit off, I'll be honest. The bin on the terrace had banana peels and other trash in it for months I guess. But nothing else to complain about.

I had a large room on the 6th floor, with outstanding views of Brussels and the nearby canal. The hotel is just 10 mins walks from Dansaertstraat, and is very convenient for the centre. It's inexpensive. However, it's a bit dilapidated and run down. With some investment and TLC, it could be absolutely outstanding. Just feels a bit unloved. The staff are friendly, it's clean and modern. There are very few facilities nearby: you need to head out to grab a bite, or find something you need. The vending machine only takes coins, which was hopeless. There's a nice balcony you can sit on. Breakfast was very simple and self-service: a coffee, juice and a croissant. It was OK.

It was neglected and felt a bit desolate and unloved. Some maintenance and investment would transform the who look and atmosphere of the place. I felt a bit isolated and alone: the reception is in one building, and the rooms in another. Zero staff presence in the block for the guests.
