La Casa del Gelsomino

Breakfast was the best in Sicily and the bio-pool is amazing! We would like to has time to stay one more day. It is a place to stay!

Lovely terrace and a rock pool to float around in and hammocks looking across the valley. Wonderful host who shared knowledge of Ragusa and an excellent breakfast.

The location was quite central in Ibla and just a 5 minute stroll from the centre. Staff were amazing and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. The property itself was well kept and welcoming and the gardens and pool area were tastefully done up, very well kept and perfect for relaxing and taking it easy. The jacuzzi (which we didn't use purely out of personal choice) seemed nice to chill in and enjoy the view. The pool, on the other hand, we used. It is not a pool to actually swim in since it is shallow however it is perfect to lie back, switch on the massage jets, enjoy the view or have a calm conversation. This location is perfect for couples seeking to relax, reconnect and enjoy the scenery. Breakfast was really good and gave a taste of local produce, cheeses, hams and fruit which felt healthy, authentic and tasty at the same time. I would definitely re-visit this location.

There is nothing I did not like about the place and, if I really had to comment on something, I would say that it would be nice to have a little shelf in the shower where to put my own soap and shampoo since I took my own. Having said that, the property also provided soap and shampoo themselves in the shower.

I can’t say enough good things about La Casa del Jasmino. The two ladies who run the B&B are incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Every morning they prepare a delicious homemade breakfast with local products, offering both sweet and savory options. It was one of the highlights of our stay. The property itself is beautiful. The garden and pool are peaceful and well maintained, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. There are also complimentary cold drinks available throughout the day, which was a thoughtful touch, especially during the summer heat. The location is excellent, and because the B&B only has a few rooms, it never feels crowded. We often had the pool almost entirely to ourselves, which made the experience even more relaxing. Overall, this was one of the best places we stayed during our trip, and I would happily return.

The only minor downside is the parking. You can’t park directly at the property and have to leave your car a couple of minutes away and walk. However, this is completely understandable given the layout of the town, and it didn’t take away from an otherwise wonderful experience.
