    First off, the women who work at the reception desk are lovely and helpful. However, the hotel itself was a bit of a letdown and I wish we had chosen another option. The room was boring and a bit rundown. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were the flattest I have ever seen and only one per person which is strange for a “4 star” hotel. Also, there are only two paper cups in the room. No glasses. We had a bottle of Prosecco we wanted to share and if you want to RENT glasses, you can, at the cost of 2.50 euro each. And if you want to have your bottle of Prosecco on the upstairs deck, it is 10 euro corkage. I don’t mind corkage fees when they make sense, but the cafe on the fourth floor is not even staffed and you have to let them know ahead of time if you want something from there, so that is strange. Breakfast was definitely better than many places, however, get there early. Once the scrambled eggs and bacon all were gone they did not make more. Those who came 30 minutes before breakfast ended just had to choose other options.

    This hotel is built into the side of a mountain and the views are stunning. Entrance is kind of hard to find as it's up a short hill and you buzz a door where they let you in and you go to the reception desk (there's no lobby) to be checked in. Parking was free on the hotel street (Dec meant there was lots of space). We had the Classic Room, No Window and the garden area had fresh lemon trees and a space to sit outside. Our room was #4 and you needed to exit the hotel and the hallway is about 25 steps away. The room itself had a very comfortable bed and shower with nice products, 2 sinks in the bathroom and a heated towel bar which was great. The only bad thing is that the room was right by the main door to rooms 4-10 and we heard everyone coming and going so avoid room #4. Breakfast was upstairs and was a large spread - scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, greek yogurt with fruits and nuts, tons of desserts and multiple bread options. The view from there was fantastic since it was up high. The hotel has an elevator that let's you exit on the city side and you're right in the middle of the Old Town. There's a great market in the park - find Paolo for the best porchetta sandwich I've ever had.
