Vaana Resort

Good location , however we only stayed one night instead of the two nights I had booked. We had actually done all the activities we had planned to do from Sigirya , so we decided to move on to polonnarawa the next day . The lady looking after us kindly moved us to a better room after we asked - original room was very clean but the damp smell was a bit offsetting. We moved to a Lovely big room - white clean sheets. Good breakfast and one evening meal . Very very helpful staff on site - really could not be more helpful. They have an elephant on site , she was lovely to see .

The pool is very good and the staff is very useful

The lock in the bathroom needs a bit of fixing

Die Anlage hat noch viel Renovations- und Aufräumbedarf, Personal z.T. recht aufdringlich.

Manager Selvi was very nice and keen to please and location is lovely with monkeys, peacocks and an elephant roaming the grounds!

Hate to leave a bad review but honestly the rooms were coated in black mould and smelt terrible - Selvi said it was temporary and they would dry out but in fairness to other travellers - you need to be aware!
