Ro at check-in is so friendly and helpful! He has lots of helpful tips and it's clear he cares a lot about the hostel and making visitors' stay very pleasant. Our room was comfortable and the common spaces made it easy to enjoy the lovely view of Monteverde. We made use of the kitchen, so it was helpful to have it available.
Nothing really. The weather was generally very windy and rainy which created a lot of noise that we could hear throughout the night. Not a problem for us, but might be for some travelers.

I loved the common area; the seating was immensely comfy, and the view was stunning. I loved how clean the property was; it always smelled amazing! The beds on the property felt divine, and we had an awesome view from our room window. I loved the breakfast that was served each morning. Out of my group, everyone raved about the coffee and juice the most!
I did not like the sheer curtain draped over our front window (which was quite large). It did not offer any privacy at night, which was rather discomfiting. The staff could be a little intense at times, so there were moments where I felt as though I was walking on egg shells trying to stay on their good sides 😅

Breakfast was really good, although it is only for certain times only (starts from 7:00 am). The usual schedule for activities in Monteverde is that you have early morning walk in the park and then afternoon activities which prevents you from getting a chance to have breakfast served. I would appreciated if breakfast would be left for us so we could eat it after our activity in the morning
Very limited facilities in the room. You need to go to the common property kitchen to get hot water etc..
