A simulated war-torn Sarejevo housing experience

If you’re looking for that simulated war-torn Sarejevo housing experience at an overpriced rate, then look no further than 4 Rent a Home Landskronstrasse! Upon check-in (where check-in isn’t permitted until 2:30 pm - and not a minute earlier) you’ll enjoy the delights of unmade beds and broken shower holders! But wait - when you ask for repairs to be made, be prepared for the management team to fail to show up! And nothing says a satisfactory stay at a Booking.com property like contorting your body into a pretzel-like shape to take a shower in the morning. Best of all, they charge you an exorbitant rate for this slice of purgatory well in advance of your stay. Act now and book this place at your own risk (before someone wiser and more experienced advises you otherwise…)

Spacious, convenient access to Novartis and tram, but no key and long codes

It is unusually spacious at 60m2 and close to Novartis campus and a tram stop just around the corner

It’s the dodgiest street I have stayed at in Switzerland despite its convenient location. Police checking the abandoned property across the road, social housing tenants roaming the street, no street lighting, and the entry system is terrible with 6-digit code for the front door requiring a lengthy amd error prone process, and the same with the apartment door, no keys, no lights in the stair case, no lift, no bolts to lock the door at night, anyone with a code can walk in. The property has lots of potential for being an exceptional stay, none of it used. No doubt great once the street gets a Swiss style gentrification makeover.

An unpleasant stay in a basically nice apartment at a good price.

The apartment was quite large, with a nice kitchen which we did not use and a decent bathroom and shower.

There was no hair dryer as promised in the property description. I wrote to the host and was promised the hair dryer the next day. It never arrived despite several requests. The front door to the apartment would sometimes open spontaneously and sometimes could be opened simply by pushing on it from the outside. This, we discovered, could be temporarily fixed by re-entering the code in the keypad and then re-closing the door. My bedside lamp also ceased to function after 10 minutes and was a very cheap model which didn't allow access to the bulb! Altogether a pretty unacceptable situation. The host was very responsive at first, but then simply ignored by requests.

Apartment is dirty , half of things don’t work at all , windows you cant open in bedroom , on top of kitchen who know when last time was cleaned ! No door on shower , bathroom dirty everywhere ! About people who are rejting this apartment i don’t have any words!!!! On one mesage they reply you tomorow , don’t speak English , every time when i call they put me on hold for 10 min ! Don’t book here !!!!! They will after you book ask for deposit and without it they willl not give you keys!!!! Check out they move when they want !!! Cleaners come at 10 in morning to kick me out of apartment , swearing My mother becuse i Said apartment is not clean !!!! Shame on you all !!!!!!

Stay away

The location was appropriate for our needs

We are frequent travellers and I believe this must be the worst experience we had in an apartment of this kind. It was extremely dirty. Not only the kitchen was sticky and the apartment in general barely cleaned, there were pigeons’ excrements on all the windows, to the point of it being unhealthy. We could not open the windows because the pigeons would try to come in. Furthermore, we were there during a heatwave. While I totally understand that this is not the host’s fault, they could have at least provided a fan. It was impossible to sleep in such heat. If we tried to open the windows to catch some fresher air by night, not only the pigeons would try to enter, but a neighbour was constantly listening to rock music (half naked, see picture) in his patio (literally at all times from 6.30 am till late at night), making it impossible to sleep. It was a real nightmare. When we tried notifying the host of our issues, the first reply was ‘call the police on the guy that listens to the music’ (which, obviously we wouldn’t do!); and the second time, when we had already left (we told them we’d leave a day earlier as we could not cope with it anymore), they proposed to either clean the apartment or give us another apartment upstairs (there would have been the same problems with pigeons and the guy with the music!). Note that they did not offer any of this the first time we complained: only when they knew we had already left. Other issues were the fridge that was leaking water, the lack of cleaning pods for the dishwasher, the bathtub that was not draining, to name a few.. in conclusion: stay away from this place! Save yourself a headache and some money.

nice base to sleep in Basel, not more

the location is good, close to tram and supermarket, easy to get into town

one of the two flats we used smelled like smoke upon arrival. we were looking for cups but could only find them on the last day in the damp dishwasher. one night, a drunk person rang our door bell for about an hour and there was a surprising level of noise for how quiet the neighborhood looked.

An adapter for other types of plugs is essential; I couldn't finish my work because my laptop battery died. The pillows could be of better quality. And a coffee maker for the morning is also a basic necessity.

We got three different pin numbers/codes but only one was actually useful. Also the correct pin number (according to support and email ) did not work om the gate to the building (support opened it up remotely so it was fine)

It was on the tram line for Artbasel. Big apartment.

The code for thé key was send in Dec 2020. Now it’s Sept 2021. They could resend the code instead of making me panic in front of the door. They were also not helpful with the fact that I have to cut short my stay due to a surgery. Also the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty. I had to ask for the transport card which normally is offered. Just not friendly attitude.

La posizione dell'alloggio è eccezionale: vicina ai mezzi e al centro. Sotto ci sono tutti i servizi che possono interessare (Farmacia, supermercato, ristoranti). L'appartamento era molto spazioso per 4 con due camere separate. Cucina nuovissima e anche l bagno. Poca cura per i particolari.

I gestori sembrano un po' disinteressati: ho dovuto sollecitare più volte l'invio del codice. Il codice non era semplicissimo da inserire (perchè il pad non funzionava bene). L'esterno dell'edificio (sempre condominiale era sporco). C'era poca cura per tutto anche se le potenzialità del posto sono elevatissime.

Boa localização. Informação necessária para chegar ao apartamento e sobre transportes é dada previamente e de forma detalhada. O apartamento é espaçoso.

Limpeza em particular da cozinha. Quinto andar apenas acessível por escadas (muito difícil com crianças e muita coisa para transportar). Mau conforto térmico, a casa estava gelada e não havia maneira de aquecer. Roupa de cama insuficiente, na primeira noite passámos mesmo frio!

Seyahatimizin En Kötü ve Hayal Kırıklığı Yaşadığımız Günü

Söz verilen saatte (14:30)kapıdan içeriye girebilme duygusu güzel, ancak ondan sonraki süreç çok kötü, tam bir cehennem azabı.

İçeri adım atma dışında hiç bir şeyi sevmek mümkün olamaz. Evin her tarafı uzun ve yoğun köpek tüyleri ile doluydu. Çıkan kiracının tüm artıkları evin heryerinde dağınık, her köşede çöp yığınları, temizlikçinin o ana kadar içeriye adımını bile atmadığı rezil ve sağlıksız bir ortam. Saat 14:30 da bu şekilde hizmete açılan bir ev de, değil 1 gün yaşamak o havayı 1 saat bile solumak ciddi hastalıklara davetiye çıkarabilirdi. Uzun bir yoldan gelip; duş alıp, uzanıp dinlenmek hayalleri kurarken evin mevcut halinin o saatte temizlenmeye başlasa dahi gerektiği şekilde teslimi için en az 3 saat daha dışarıda olmamız gerekecekti. Evin rezil halinin fotoğraflarını firmaya gönderip, bize derhal başka bir eve yönlendirmelerini istediğimizde bunu kedin bir şekilde reddettiler. O ev birazdan göndereceğimiz temizlikçiler tarafından temizlenecek ve orada 1 gece geçirmeniz gerekiyor başka yerimiz yok dediler. Bu durumda evi saat 18:30 dan önce kullanmamızın mümkün olmadığını haliyle evi kiralama amacımıza ulaşamadığımızı, mağdur edildiğimizi söyleyip paramızı iade etmelerini istedik. Bu şekilde başımızın çaresine bakıp başka bir yer bulalım dedik. Bu talebimiz de net bir şekilde reddedildi. Para iadesi yapamayız ev birazdan temizlettirilecek dendi. Büyük bir çaresizlik içinde bu durumu kabul etmek zorunda kalmışken o sırada tesise gelen temizlik görevlileri bizim dairemizi pas geçerek bir üst katta ki daireyi temizlemeye başladılar. Ne kadar ısrar etsekte burası bitmeden sizinkine başlayamayız dediler. Sinirlerimiz iyice bozuldu ve eşim bayılmadan onu teskin edip tesisten çıkarttım. Eve de saat 19:30 civarı döndüğümüzü tahmin ediyorum. Ev nisbeten kabul edilebilir şekilde temizlenmişte olsa hala havada yoğun toz bulutları, pis ve keskin köpek, sigara, toz dan kaynaklı bir koku biz ertesi sabah 07:45 te evden ayrılana kadar geçmedi. Ayrıca geceyi sadece tek kişilik bir yorganla geçirmek zorunda kaldık. 2 kişiye tek ve boyutları oldukça küçük tek bir yorgan...

Tram direct depuis la gare et pour le centre. Chambres spacieuses, cuisine bien équipée. Équipe de nettoyage aimable.

À l’arrivée aucune lumière dans la salle de bains. J’ai dû mettre une lampe de chevet pour y voir quelque chose. Signalé à l’arrivée, réponse le soir même mais c’est le 3eme jour, après plainte de ma part, qu’on a eu une solution: un autre appartement (mais avec une mauvais odeur, notamment dans la cuisine, surtout en ouvrant les placards). Le personnel est venu constater mais n’a rien pu faire.

Very Disappointing Stay – Unsafe and Poorly Maintained

🇬🇧 English I had a very disappointing stay. The pin pad to open the main gate was not working. There was no light in the bathroom, and the owner suggested taking a shower with the door open, which is unacceptable. Even after informing the owner, there was no toilet paper provided. Moreover, there was no light in the staircase area, which is dangerous, especially for families. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. ⸻ 🇩🇪 Deutsch Mein Aufenthalt war sehr enttäuschend. Das Tastenfeld, um das Haupttor zu öffnen, funktionierte nicht. Im Badezimmer gab es kein Licht, und der Besitzer schlug vor, mit geöffneter Tür zu duschen – das ist völlig inakzeptabel. Selbst nachdem ich den Besitzer informiert hatte, wurde kein Toilettenpapier bereitgestellt. Außerdem gab es kein Licht im Treppenhaus, was besonders für Familien gefährlich ist. Ich würde niemandem empfehlen, hier zu übernachten. ⸻ 🇫🇷 Français Mon séjour a été très décevant. Le clavier pour ouvrir le portail principal ne fonctionnait pas. Il n’y avait pas de lumière dans la salle de bain, et le propriétaire a suggéré de se doucher porte ouverte, ce qui est inacceptable. Même après l’avoir informé, aucun papier toilette n’a été fourni. De plus, il n’y avait pas de lumière dans la cage d’escalier, ce qui est dangereux, surtout pour les familles. Je ne recommanderais à personne de séjourner ici.

Единствената ми забележка е, че паркетеният под скърцаше и вечер се е случвало да се събуждат и други хора, ако някой отиде до тоалетна, примерно. Но като цяло препоръчвам!

Pesadilla en suiza

El sitio del hostal era desagradable , gente extraña y drogadictos que entraron al edificio y hivieron ruido toda la noche desde las otra habitación, vamos una pesadilla no lo recomiendo para nada hostal no está mal pero la ubicación y la gente que hay alrededor y dentro del edificio fatal!!! Una falta de seguridad tremenda , no pegamos ojos 🫩 en toda la noche por el ruido de afuera y sobre todo de dentro el suelo estaba como desprendido y cada vez que pisabas era ruido tremendo así que para un viaje de solo un día ......bueno es que ni para eso xk la verdad que no pudimos descansar que era el objetivo!!!!!! Poner mucha atención a la seguridad entra cualquier individuo de la calle xk hasta me asuste que entro una gente drogada con una muy mala pinta y se fueron al sótano que horror 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
