Had a wonderful stay at sand haven. The hosts Martine and John are so friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel happy and comfortable. Will definitely be coming back!

Lovely stay that exceeded our expectations

We were able to self check in which was really convenient and the location was really good. The room was clean and cosy and the shower was hot - perfect for our winter stay. John and Martine are wonderful, thoughtful hosts with great energy, sense of humour and they also cook a lovely breakfast.

We had such a wonderful time and felt so warmly welcomed and well taken care off; we definitely plan to come back again! The breakfast was lovely and the room super cozy; we all slept very well! The location is just perfect! We loved being at the beach within minutes and enjoyed our early morning walk there!! So many happy memories!!

We are no strangers to Swanage and the Sandhaven and , as always , we enjoyed the break.

We have stayed a number of times at the Sandhaven. Martine and John have been our hosts on each visit. They are very warm and welcoming people people with a good sense of humor. The accommodation is great and close to the beach and Swanage town center. The breakfasts are excellent. There are a few parking bays on premise and if full there is parking usually available in the locality in nearby residential areas.

Short and cosy, welcome stay.

Our stay was quite short but Martine and John were incredible hosts, made us feel very welcome and right at home. Our room was spacious and really cosy. The bathroom was small, but plenty for a short stay. The beach is a two minute walk down the street and, even in November, great for a walk and enjoying the sounds of the ocean.

I'm tall so I didn't enjoy banging my head on the bathroom door frame, but that's more of a user error than our lovely host's fault.

Lovely stay in a lovely town

Martine and John are great hosts. They were interesting to talk to, they were friendly and welcoming and did everything they could to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. I'd stay again if I ever visit Swanage in the future. Thanks again!

The parking at the property is very tight - I was lucky there weren't many other guests during my stay so I wasn't affected too much, but the smaller the car the better here. However, there are a few residential spots where you can park that are a short walk away.

Dreamy stay in a dreamy location

The hotel was amazingly located: a short walk from the beach (we could see it from our bedroom) and a very short drive to Studland and surrounding countryside. John and Martine brought such warmth to the whole experience, we couldn’t have asked for lovelier hosts. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options, and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

The service was excellent. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly. Breakfast choices were superb and the option to purchase a packed lunch was a brilliant idea - saving the hassle of going into town for supplies.

A home from home in Swanage

My friend and I booked 2 nights at the Sandhaven recently, during which we celebrated an important milestone. We couldn't have chosen a better place to be, as Martine and John made it such a special occasion for us and we left feeling that we had made good friends. With a comfortable and clean room, excellent facilities and a really delicious breakfast, coupled with warm and welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make every visitor feel special, I highly recommend the Sandhaven to anyone visiting Swanage.

Overall a great stay, room could do with a few tweeks

Location was perfect, breakfast was really good, John and Martine where excellent hosts.

Martine and John are amazing hosts, so friendly and welcoming, and their b&b is in a great location just up from the beach and town centre. The choice for breakfast was really good, and they recommended some nice places to eat in the evening.

Great place to stay to visit part of Jurassic Coast, Studland, Corfe Castle, Arne

Very welcoming and friendly place to stay, excellent breakfast options and close to Swanage beach and restaurants. Studland, Corfe Castle and Arne are not far away as well as are parts of the fantastic Jurassic Coast. Some locations are accessible by Breezer 50 bus between Bournemouth and Swanage, for locations further away a car is useful. We can highly recommend a stay.

Swanage's warmest welcome.

Perfect location as it is just a 5 minute stroll to the beach. John and Martine are the ideal hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. The breakfasts are excellent, both in choice and taste. We only had time for a 3-night stay, but wished we could have stayed longer.
