Wood cockroaches - need to bait or fumigate Hard pillows- but I take my own anyway

Ideal for 2 senior couples. Plenty of space. A very pleasant drive to Taupo.

Handy location close to town and numerous fishing spots. BBQ & pizza oven were a bonus. Good value for the money

Slight musty smell, possibly from being closed up. Unfortunately the oven didn't work.

The accommodation was brilliant. Facilities were excellent. Beautiful fireplace. Nothing lacking.

Huge puddle right by the doorstep. at least 3 inches of water to wade through to get at the porch. Puddle had disappeared the next day, but no fun wading through water with all your luggage. Was a wet very cold day when we arrived. While the fireplace was a godsend because of the temperatures all weekend, the heat never reached the bedrooms or bathroom. And having to refill the wood box twice a day, once in the morning and again at night, before you could get warm was a chore. Thank heavens the bathroom had a heater, otherwise it would have been very cold while showering. There was a portable electric heater, but even that struggled to warm the bedroom up.
