Constructive criticism and positivity

Everything else besides the constructive criticism in the 'Did not like' form. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The location is beautiful for nature and bird lovers!

We didn't particularly like the meals that were offered - Tip: put an ingredients list / more detailed menu, so that "picky eaters" like us, could make an easier and enjoyable choice 😉 There also is no mosquito net in the rooms, being next to the river, in the heat, makes it a little less pleasant, but this would be an easy fix.

Unique, comfortable nature location but NO GOs of forbidding outdoor breakfast and disaster wifi

Surroundings in the natural parkland was unique and very quiet (although nothing around for shops or eating) Rooms were ok with comfortable beds, good bathroom, a nice balcony and a fridge Air conditioning in room (but we struggled a bit with the controls) Nice base for cycle touring and they offered secure bike storage

Guests not allowed to have breakfast on the nice outdoor terrace!! Reserved for casual visitors only. We were aggressively chased off. This was a "NO GO" for us and in our view downgraded paying guests below casual visitors. Terrace was empty throughout the breakfast period (7:30-9:00) as almost no casual guests (e.g. on bikes) before 9:30. Staff didn't want to have to clean it before the casual guests started arriving. Internet was a DISASTER!! I measured download speed of 2 MB. When I showed it to the staff, they just shrugged their shoulders. I had a work video-call to do and was forced to find a hotel in the next town that allowed me to do it there. No personal present for parts of the day and in the evenings. We arrived late and had to make contact with a central number who could remotely open the main hotel door where we found our keys waiting in an envelope. It seemed staff were mostly focussed on the casual visitors for drinks and meals and less on the paying guests. Although we liked the location, we had to drive to eat somewhere or shop.

We had a room under the roof next to the entrance with no Air Conditioning. So the room over day and night was very hot.

Away from the touristy areas

Some parts of the hotel would need fixing. The air con could not be controlled properly. The breakfast was quite poor. Given that the hotel was in a nature reserve, there was an awful amount of plastic and other rubbish in the water right outside the hotel.

Location is really nice and calm, we had a great view from our balcony. Breakfast was ok, good choice of sweet pastries, little less if you prefer vegetables/salty meal in the morning. We appreciated a little fridge in the room. All of the stuff was really friendly and helpful

The main issue in the hotel is the lack of sound isolation between the rooms..you can hear literally everything from you neighbours, conversations, snoring, toilet flushing, shower..so this could be pretty disturbing, not to mention lack of privacy. It’s really a pity, considering the calm atmosphere in the location.. there’s not much else, except maybe that it would be nice if the bar was open a little longer :)

Very cozy palce.

There is a good place for feeling nature and walking. Like far to throw the bay, but very convenient, cozy and comfortable. The bed is great - very comfortable! We were lucky and in the room, we had a view of the estuary, we saw seagulls. But be careful not to open the window net, because insects will fly.

Insects that flew into the room because of our fault. It was difficult to find a cheap place to eat.

it was a wonderful escape to stay within a nature reserve, nice breakfast, simple room with a balcony overlooking the water was great to observe the birds.

unfortunately the dinner was far too expensive, it was delicious but overpriced for what we had , 2 mains, 1 dessert, 1 water, 1 juice 40€

Cosy hotel for nature lovers

The hotel is located in the heart of nature with a fantastic view of the mouth of Isonzo. You can explore the neighborhood either on foot or by bike and observe birds or just enjoy the beauty of the landscape. The Isonzo River Mouth and the Valle Cavanata Nature Reserves are both a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Grado is also very close. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is nice. They offer a good breakfast. I highly recommend to have a dinner as well in the hotel's restaurant.

Location

We did request a double bed. Twin beds at arrival. 15 minutes to get a room with a double bed (they had to check room by room...). Once installed in the double bed room, another person from the staff comes and ask us very firmly to return to the twin beds room. It is written "bikes available for free". They don't have bikes. They refuse to serve dinners on the terrace (because of mosquitos) but the nice terrace is the whole thing of this hotel. I did not see any mosquito before 9pm and sun set. Anyway, they stop to serve dinner from 8pm or with just a salad until 8;30pm. We had to take the car and go somewhere else. Very disappointing.

zumindest an dem einen abend, an dem wir dort zu abend gegessen haben, war die qualität leider nicht gut. es fällt unter die rubrik „sie haben sich bemüht“. schade. die zimmer sind etwas hellhörig.
