Casa Letizia

Our stay at Casa Letizia was a dream! The location is absolutely perfect, you are right in the heart of Bologna city centre where everything is walking distance. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed for it to be the perfect pitstop between sight seeing and a relaxing place to unwind at the end of each day. Letizia was a fantastic host, who helped us with any questions we had and was incredibly flexible and accommodating with our late arrival and departure times. I could not recommend this apartment enough and I hope to visit again soon!

Letizia met us at the property and explained everything about the flat to us and made us feel right at home. The flat is in the perfect location of the city center. The two famous towers are right outside the door. A wonderful coffee shop for breakfast is 4ight outside the door and the grocery 1 minute away. Letezia turned out to be our guardian angel after my husband's back went out and we had to rearrange our trip to Milan for travel home. She was available and went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend this flat for your visit to Bologna

The apartment was just a few meters from the main centre. There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants all within easy walking distance.

Nothing.

The appartment is very central (which is a problem, if you are there in week days). It is large and well equipped.

First the pictures are from 2 different apartments and they are mixed. Until you get there you dont really know which one are getting. There is some broken tiles in the bathroom. Many travelers said "it was relaxing or quiet though central", we cannot agree at all. The apartment has double glasses on the windows but around it is a simple frame, so it does not is sound proof. The apartment we got has the dorm windows facing the street, in week days there buses are VERY frequent and very loud. You can hear everything is happening under the colonnade... you hear even the high heals steps... in the weekends they close the street for pedestrians only, so the buses are not there but you still hear people partying. For us, this was a huge problem. Then when you are travelling by trains in Italy and doing it more or less spontaneous, it is hard to specify an hour for the check in (this is very dif. if you are travelling by airplane). So beside all the noise, Letizia contact 1 week before my arrival to know the check in time. Which I could not say, I gave her a time windows and clarify that I would be travelling by train from Florence (there are trains each 30min) and said I would let her know prior my departure (this worked perfectly with all y hosts during a 15 days trip). She was insisting to get an exact time saying she could not be before 17h there (check in was supposedly to be from 15h30) and she was sending me messages constantly even when I have clarified why I could not be more precise. At the end, when I agreed to her time schedule - to be there at 17h, she said she could not be there anymore and she could only meet us after 18h so we needed to delay our departure from Firenze again. I would recommend her to use a more modern way to give her guests the keys and stop to insisting about a specific time - maybe a locker box or some code locker.
