Saigon Amigo Hotel

The staff are just awesome. A wonderful friendly family run hotel.

Some tea/coffee and cups in the room would have been nice.

The location was pretty good for us...we liked the alley with food joints on either side. The room was very cozy and comfortable..we felt very relaxed...& of course it was very clean...overall it was perfect for us three friends.

May be you can think of providing ceiling fans also.

We have stayed at this hotel before,so it was good to come back. Great location, Big rooms,great staff and amazing value for money.

All the staff was very kind, helpful and friendly. Perfect central location to easily reach all the main attractions on foot. There's also the Pui Bien party street just behind the corner, and around the area there are many restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, supermarket and ATM. I couldn't hear any noise from the room (but there was no window). I could use the laundry service and it was perfect and cheap.

Definitely the room needs a bit of renovation, and a better cleaning service upon check-in. I feel like the cleaning was done too quickly to probably let me check in as early as possible, as I had arrived early in the morning. I'd rather have a perfectly clean room and check in a bit later than seeing dust all over the place: on the furniture, on the floor, on the TV. But all this dust didn't look like it was from previous guests, I guess a lot of it has never been cleaned. Even the bathroom was not perfectly clean, I found hair on the sink, I'm wondering how that was missed. The bed looked tidy but was really firm. The walls were the worst part: it felt like being in a room left abandoned for years, I'm wondering why they're not being repainted because they really give an unattractive and sad vibe to the room. The lighting was also really sad, it felt like being in a hospital room. I was honestly kinda fine with all of this because I was by myself and only for one night, so I really just needed a good sleep, but I'd never book it if I was going with a friend or even worse with a partner. Overall the furniture is also very old, and even the keys of the room are still the "old" style (no key cards) and they have a different locking mechanism than European doors. I found myself struggling even to lock the door, would be helpful to leave some printed instructions. I had to ask for help at the reception. In the end it was cheap, but for the same price I've stayed in a hostel in Bangkok which exceeded my expectations also regarding cleaning.
