The studio was roomy and had everything we needed. All appliances worked well. Even though it was a very busy area, the studio was quiet.
We had lots of heavy luggage and there were many stairs from the street up to the property, then another level of stairs inside.

Excellent location for sightseeing in Edinburgh
Host always available, very friendly and attentive
Well equipped apartment
Quiet at night with view to green backyard - so you really get a good night’s sleep after lots of walking when sightseeing
Only very small mirror in bathroom
Entrance to house could do with some repairs, thorough cleaning and fresh paint

We especially appreciated the little whiskey filled decanter. I would love to find one of those. I wish we could have stayed a couple of more days.
We liked everything about the apartment except the steps. I have a bad knee and did not expect to have to climb so many steps - and go down them as well (even harder). Moving the luggage was also an issue. (see photo) We didn't realize the steps continued up to the castle - after walking a very long way around to get there - we could see the steps from the castle wall (see photo)

not as clean as it could be, poor water pressure, old storage heaters with the electric fire not working,
