Staying at this house was not only a treat, it was a retreat!

The house was well maintained and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The view in every direction from the house was spectacular...the sea, mountains, the beach next door, the stars so bright, & Aurora Borealis 2 out of the 4 nights we were at the house! Our hosts were responsive and ever so helpful. The Gimsoy area is out of the touristic area (thank goodness!), and made for a wonderfully peaceful and quiet stay for the first 4 days of our 7 day stay in the islands. We wanted to stay at this house for months, and felt so sad to leave the green pastures, horses on the beach, and lovely area. I'm so glad we got to experience this side of the islands! We moved to Ramberg for the next 3 days, which was closer to Reine and Nusfjord, but there was not the same lovely peacefulness at our second location. We would stay here again in a second!

Authentic Norwegian house at the beach

The house was very well equipped, it was a bit old-fashioned, but very authentic and charming. We had a nice view on the midnight sun over the sea and enjoyed the beach directly in front of the house.

Perfect traditional house on the coast.

Wonderful location right on the coast. Perfect to see the midnight sun. Peace and quiet. It is Knut and Vivi's grandparents house which they have lovingly and tastefully restored but with modern conveniences. Log burner. Washing machine. Would recommend and happily stay again.

We loved the house. Just be aware that the bathroom and a small double are on the ground floor, whilst the two twin rooms are up a very steep staircase and headroom is restricted. But loads of character!

A perfect escape from the crowds

Pretty much everything was perfect for us. House has so much character and the garden was perfect for the kids to spend hours running around in. The location couldn't be better for the sunset show every evening

The only thing we really missed was access to some firewood and a bålpanne outside for the evenings.

So lovely

We stayed here for three nights during our trip in norway. I appreciated everything of this place: the position next to the beach and the golf club, the availability of everything you need (Also the barbecue :-)) the kindness of Vivi and Knut, the price. I’ll surely come back

The place was amazing, next to a beautiful beach, 20 m from the sea and you can hear the sea from the house.there is a lovely restaurant/coffee walking distance and a small supermarket. In the house, nothing is missing with all the equipment in the kitchen you might need.You feel like home!! We really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend that place .

Very cosy and charming house with a beautiful view on the sea, the montains and the beach. We have been welcomed by Vivi and Knut, our friendly hosts. We did many hikes nearby. The house is perfect for a family with children. Family from Paris

Vivi和Knut非常親切，Knut就住在隔壁，有問題隨時可以得到支援，還提供旅行資訊，非常感謝他們。地理環境極佳，海攤，落日，美不勝收。

因為是老房子，往二樓的樓梯十分陡，但對我們不成太大問題。

L’emplacement exceptionnel. Au calme à l’écart de l’agitation des Lofoten. Plage toute proche. Domaine grand et magnifique en bord de mer. Magnifique rando au départ du lodge. Hôtes très accueillants et disponibles. Spot parfait pour le soleil de minuit. Maison charmante et confortable.
