Amila Guest

Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad bij Amila Guesthouse. Het personeel doet er alles aan om het je naar je zin te maken. We hadden in eerste instantie twee nachtjes geboekt, maar zijn uiteindelijk een week gebleven. Ook hebben we voor een leuke prijs een scooter gehuurd bij de manager. Hij zorgde er van tevoren voor dat de tank vol met benzine zat, zodat je uiteindelijk alleen betaalt voor de benzine die je zelf hebt opgereden. Wel zo fair dus! Trincomalee is onze favoriete kustplaats van Sri Lanka en we zullen dus ook zeker terugkomen bij Amila Guesthouse. Tot de volgende keer!

Everything went really well. The room is spacious, the staff are lovely and give great recommendations, and the place is quiet, you don't hear the road at all. The garden is lovely too. You're not far from town (walkable, or a tuk-tuk ride for under a euro), with a few restaurants nearby, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the sea. All in all, I'd definitely recommend it!

The room was very large and very clean. The staff were very friendly, and there was also a small kitchen with a kettle where you could make tea in the morning. The bed was large and comfortable. All in all, one of the best places I've stayed in Sri Lanka.

The beach is a 40-minute walk away.

The owner was really nice and helpful. They have a laundry service for 1000 rupees for 2 kg, which was convenient.

Dirty towels, dirty bathroom with a smelly paper .. the bed was not comfortable. But overall for this price it was okay. I felt like i’m in some kind of camping.
