Gheller Apartment

Die Wohnung liegt zentral zwischen Hauptbahnhof und Arena die Verona. Man läuft jeweils 10-15 Minuten. Die Wohnung hat eine kleine Dachterrasse mit Liegestühlen und Ess-Tisch/Stühle/Sonnenschirm. Sehr schön urig bepflanzt. Toll ist die Bewässerungsanlage füt die Pflanzen. Die Betten sind bequem. Es gibt ein Doppelbett und ein Einzelbett, sowie Standventilatoren. Im Schlafzimmer ist auch ein Fernseher, aber ohne deutsches Programm. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Es gibt auch eine Klima-Anlage in der Küche. Dann gibt es im Eingangsbereich einen Garderobenständer und nochmals einen Ess-Tisch mit 3 Stühlen. Übrigens der einzige Raum ohne Schräge. Es gibt auch einen kleinen begehbaren Kleiderschrank mit ausreichend Bügeln. Im Kühlschrank stand eine kalte Flasche Mineralwasser für uns bereit. Herrlich. Das Badezimmer ist klein, aber ausreichend. Es gibt Pflegeprodukte. Um in die Wohnung zu kommen, muss man 55 Stufen erklimmen, was aber kein Problem ist, da es ein modernes Treppenhaus mit gleich hohen Stufen ist. Kein historisches Gebäude. In der Nähe gibt es eine Eisdiele, einen Supermarkt, eine Apotheke und mehrere kleine Lokale (wenn man mal aus dem Trubel raus möchte). Die Vermieter sprechen kein deutsch und kein englisch. Aber die Übersetzungs-App hat geholfen.

Es war alles bestens.

Lovely characterful apartment 15 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes walk to Piazza Bra with it's many restaurants and the Arena di Verona. The apartment is well equipped with everything needed and has a lovely rooftop garden area. The lady who welcomed us doesn't speak English but did a very good job of helping us to find our bearings using a translator. For people with mobility issues be aware there are 58 steps as it is on the top floor and there is no lift.

Unfortunately we arrived during a heat dome so it was exceptionally hot in Verona. Due to restrictions on voltage there is one air conditioning unit in the kitchen area which does not cool down the bedroom. The bedroom had 2 large fans so we used wet towels and the fans to cool down. Also due to the same restrictions you can only cook on 2 rings and are asked not to cook anything which creates strong odours as they are dofficult to remove from the apartment.

The owner was at the apartment waiting for my arrival. The apartment was clean, spacious, fully equipped, and has a wonderful terrace. Close to everything and very well located. I will stay there again next year.

Quite nice location, fairly close to the city. The lady who owns the apartment was very helpful with everything we needed even when a problem appeared with the radiators. Complete kitchen with a nice terrace and a nice dining table. Comfortable beds.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom is low for a tall person You get in the shower from a very high step.
